I agree the fallout from this action will be worse.
These PPC companies and their clingons never seen to own their issues do they? If there are bad reviews then surely they should be investigating why there are bad reviews. I guess that most of the employees that work for these firms are just passing through and are not really invested in their employment.4 -

The real spelling is Klingon.

The real spelling is Klingon. They cling onto the starboard bow of the starship Enterprise.4 -
Galloglass said:Not sure if anyone has picked up on the sterling work the parking industry has done in getting the DLUHC to bring in tighter controls. It seems they are being held back in bringing more benefits to the motorist by the slackers in DLUHC - or so the article says.
https://portfolio.cpl.co.uk/Parking-News/426/22/Would that include the vast number of cases that have been threatened to only be dropped when the scamming Klingons realise not all of the public are a push over?
I wonder who will be the arbiter of fairness and appropriate process?
I trust some of the stalwarts on here and the vast number of others that are preparing to comment will ensure bully boy and threatening tactics by scamming Klingons do not prevail.
When has compliance ever been a concern for them?0 -
Rest assured that the work has been continuous and the good guys & gals continue to provide DLUHC with "as much information as possible to inform its decision-making...."
The PPC noise never goes to DLUHC unopposed.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Interesting interview with Ivar Mountbatten on Jeremy Vine this morning. During lockdowns he allowed locals to walk on his property which is extensive. Now he is going to charge. Locals can pay a discounted £60 per annum which also gives them a discount in the coffee shop. He does have to maintain the land and paths etc.
Other vistors will pay a £5.00 parking tariff. He will not though be engaging a PPC as he does not want visitors to get PCN's. There will be a person at the entrance collecting the monies and greeting the vistors. Some of these supermarkets should take a leaf out of his book and employ a pensioner to check cars. Drivers who have transgressed should make a donation to the food bank.
The PPC's have created a business that we do not need. It does produce anything and causes some people a lot of worry and stress.

This will end in tears for local businesses:

The usual sledgehammer to crack a nut.
Apparently there are 'boy racers' at this Asda on odd occasions, so it seems that ParkingEye has suggested that their ANPR solution of clobbering their custuoners and people visiting local shops & cafes with £70-£100 'fines' is the answer.
Application has gone in. Same old tired wording written by ParkingEye, I predict: "this car park has been abused".
Yawn. What about the WORSE ABUSE of what their 'PCN machine' (aka ANPR) does to people?
To rip off a phrase from the Beavis case:
