At one time Morrisons were good at cancelling scam tickets but they have joined the "hate customer" brigade, just like Tesco.
Interesting to note that Lidl is now the cheapest supermarket by some 30% ..... so BOO HOO to Morrisons, cheaper to shop at Lidl even though you might get a parking ticket
AND TESCO ...... the nasty giant getting rid of some 2000 employees .. a sign of the times ? REMEMBER they set up their own parking dept ? What a lot of rubbish that was ?

AND .... Proof beyond doubt that ANPR is a dysfunctional con
used by Birmingham City Council
Also used by the Lord Mayor of London (A joke all by itself)Bailiffs order motorist to stump up £500 fine after he was wrongly accused of failing to pay clean air zone penalty when the W on his registration plate was mistaken for another letter

Interestingly, my local big town Aldi has a 90 minute limit, the same big town Morrisons and another further away have NO restrictions, no ANPR and no overfull car parks! The pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.3

Surely, if Parking operators are sure their hardware/software and systems are competent, efficient, tested regularly (which is what they claim) they wouldn’t be averse to an independent, externally auditted body to conduct rigorous anonymous testing of systems whenever and wherever they feel appropriate, this clarify whether motorists are inputting wrong VRMs, not paying, or any other of the continually mentioned reasons for disputed PCN’s. For that matter, they could also follow through on appeals, then court to see if an official body representative, who had (in good faith) input VRM and paid requisite funds would be dragged through the courts when they had paid, like everyone else.
seems a simple solution to this issue - Parking Operators could have no complaints about systems being fine, if found not to be, and motorists would have peace of mind knowing that an official, independent body was effectively testing and exposing car park operators who were abusing the system - unless too many organisations had too much money riding on the system staying as is of course2 -
Yes @RobinKlunts but that is common sense, and that does not make PPCs money. Nothing else matters to themThe pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.5

Just seen a short piece on the News on Meridian about parking nightmares (Council and private PCNs) and they said the Tonight show at 8pm this evening is called 'Britains Parking NIghtmares'.
I've had no input into that show and suspect they will call all of them 'fines'. However it is all good 'bad publicity' for the rogue private parking industry.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Looks like it's at 8.30, ITV. Watching Dragons then, will record.
BBC WatchDog “if you are struggling with an unfair parking charge do get in touch”
Please then tell us here that you have done so.4 -
Interesting ITV programme but 30 mins is not enough
Maybe we should call them fines now as that is how they are turning out
The chap who had 150 tickets made a very valid point saying "that if a court judge dismisses a case because of lack or poor signage they should be banned from the DVLA"
THIS COULD BE 3 STRIKES and they are out. This would apply also for timewasters like DCBL with their discontinue joke, UKPC would have gone months ago
I did chuckle at the comment by the Dept of levelling up ... they are fast becoming a huge joke. Seems to me that anything Gove gets involved with ends up as a joke3 -
Step forward Euro Car Parks, yet another BPA firm who are ignoring the new incoming Code of Practice and sticking with making £20 a pop from keying errors while they can:

Why on earth would the lady have only put in the first 2 digits of her numberplate?
A reasonable person with no bias either way, might conclude that it's far more likely the machine malfunctioned.
Her mistake was thinking POPLA would side with her. Luckily she's highly unlikely to see a court claim.
Embarrassing that all the BPA appear to have adopted so far from the new Statutory Code is the complaints policy requirement.
The ONLY one that doesn't affect income of their members...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Private parking 'fines' putting people off getting EVs:
https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/cars/1730554/electric-cars-parking-fines-warning-petrol-diesel/amp
We know the risk is true because we've seen such cases.
Any right-thinking person would surely conclude that EV charging bays are separate and not subject to maximum parking 'rules'. I hear that sometimes, EV bays are actually leased to a third party (the EV point company) so they cannot be within any retail park's boundary for what this motley crew call 'parking management' anyway.
I hope the industry is proud of how (going by all accounts we've seen here for years) they continue to wreck the recovery of high street shopping, discriminate against disabled motorists, ruin people's lives for parking in their own spaces at their own homes - and they are reportedly now affecting drivers' confidence in EV ownership.
What a threat to society the exponential growth of the ex-clamping industry has become.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
