Looks like the local MPs are barking up the wrong tree with what bears all the hallmarks of a massive data abuse / failure by the DVLA to properly protect keeper data from the Warburton Bridge 'toll scam':
@Beaudelious and I are discussing this matter off-forum, with a view to making the right complaints to the right places.Excel Parking, that will include various complaints about your conduct. Hello SRS.

More duped victims pointlessly paying hundreds (even thousands) of pounds that they have no reason to pay whatsoever. Sigh…!"Residents on a Walsall street are facing thousands in parking fines after a housing association commenced enforcement action. On February 1, 2026, WHG introduced fines for those parking in its South Street Gardens car park. Residents on South Street had been using the site freely for many years and said WHG never informed them of the sudden change.
Before their first fines arrived through the post, residents continued to use the car park and later received several fines one after another.
Arun Singh Sidhu said he has received three fines which have now accumulated to £500 and is being threatened with bailiffs.
Wajid Rasool Mir received two, the first he paid and the second has now escalated to £170. Residents have accused WHG of handling the situation unfairly as they were not warned about the enforcement action.
Zubair Ahmed Shah and his direct relations have been issued fines totalling more than £1750. He said much of this has been paid off as his children were in the process of buying their first homes and didn’t want the debt to prevent them from being approved for a mortgage."
THEY PAID BECAUSE THEY WRONGLY THOUGHT THE STUPID DEBT LETTERS COME FROM 'BAILIFFS' AND WOULD AFFECT THEIR CREDIT RATING?
WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!
Leader of the Walsall Community Independents, Councillor Aftab Nawaz, said the social housing organisation should show a level of compassion.
He added: “It would have been the right thing to send letters out to residents on South Street before they started enforcing. To say they don’t have to do that because it’s their land and they can do what they like is really arrogant. A social housing organisation should have a level of understanding and compassion for people not well off.
People have been fined a lot of money, and until that letter comes to you, you’ve parked a few more times."
WHG said:
"WHG does not receive any income from the parking charges issued.
We recognise that receiving a parking charge notice can be concerning.
Anyone who believes a notice has been issued incorrectly can appeal directly to All Parking Services, where each case will be considered on its individual circumstances.”
…BEING HOUNDED FOR THOUSANDS OF POUNDS BY A MEMBER OF AN UNREGULATED ROGUE INDUSTRY WITH ZERO INDEPENDENT SCRUTINY AND NO FAIR, INDEPENDENT APPEAL ON OFFER … "CAN BE CONCERNING"?!
🤣

"Parking charge notice from St Mary’s Medical Centre car park in Stamford to be disputed at Royal Courts of JusticeA company that issues parking charge notices at a GP surgery car park is being taken on by another resident.
Tim Harris, 67, of Station Road, Ketton, who received a parking charge notice from Total Parking Solutions after visiting St Mary's Medical Centre in Wharf Road, Stamford, in July 2024, will appear at the Royal Courts of Justice Strand, London, on August 18.
It follows a case heard at Peterborough County Court on May 29, during which former GP Dr David Babbs defended himself against Total Parking Solutions and won.
The judge in that case decided the parking firm had no right to impose penalty notices on visitors before February this year, because there was no lease agreement signed by the owners of St Mary's Medical Centre and the tenant, Lakeside Healthcare, which contracted Total Parking Solutions to operate there."

So just a county court claim sitting at the RCJ

UPDATE:
The case was heard before Mrs Justice Steyn DBE, she said she would reserve judgment and send her decision to the parties in writing later.

Looks like another council court battle is on the cards...
A businessman and former city councillor Alfie Hincks is leading the legal challenge after Liverpool City Council pressed ahead last July with the decision to extend parking charges until 23:00, despite 90% of people who were consulted saying they were against the move.
Hincks is seeking to overturn the changes as they risk damaging the city centre economy.

Cornwall Council will be putting signs up advising that charges still apply and payments must be made via the JustPark App while the machines are repaired."
The cabinet decision to start charging for parking came despite a scrutiny committee voting against the proposals in March.
