No surprise that customers find Aldi and Parking Eye's parking T&Cs poorly suited to the store. In the Comments Maxine Jones wrote:
"The question that needs to be asked, and answered, is ......... do the stores really want customers to support them? It seems to me that they don't, they bring in all these ridiculous rules which help no-one other than Parking Eye and the likes!
An hour and a half is nowhere near long enough if mobility is poor, or if a person likes a good mooch to see what new goods are on offer, or just to look for something for a change from what they normally buy.
Get a grip, for goodness sake, or you won't have any customers coming to the store!"
Another agreed: "One-and-a-half hours isn’t enough, especially if there are loads of people at the tills and sometimes only one or two in operation as often happens there. And don’t forget the time it takes to put all your purchases into bags and then the boot , not easy if you have mobility problems."
Its all a bit embarrassing for Aldi when trying to justify their tight time limit "Our car park can be very busy" when one regular customer said: "I’ve never once drove in and seen that car park full, not once!"
And Aldi does nothing to address or even acknowledge that the queues at the few tills open is a time consuming process for shoppers.
IMO if Aldi wants shoppers in their stores only for 90mins they should build smaller stores and sell fewer products. This would leave more land available to others who hopefully value customers more than their parking management company.

Councillors will be told to “get out the pub”
Pubs say the new £1.60 an hour charge at the Park Rd car park on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent is “killing” business and they are fed up with “losing local business”.
Since 1 April it now costs £1.60 an hour to park at this car park.
The council thinks this will raise revenue but when SWNS visited on 23/4 there was just one car parked out of the 25 available spaces – with the free street parking nearby nearly full.
One business owner of 6yrs said: “You see people, they’ll drive in, look at the car park, and drive away."
Councils really need to grasp that motorists don't have plenty of money to spare.

POFA 2012 is outdated and does not refect on what is happened in 2026 … The DVLA are traitrors by providing PRIVATE DATA TO MONEY SCAMMERS. We accpt that the police and councils have acess to your dats BUT DO THEY
PAY THE DVLA ??
Any review should include the validity of the BPA given the amount of money scammers they have as members. The IPC should be terminated as we all know are not fit for purpose

Man forced to pay £100 parking fine after exceeding time limit - due to car tyres bursting
https://www.expressandstar.com/news/man-forced-pay-unjust-parking-fine-car-tyres-bursting-7415257
"Mr Cooper told the Express & Star that he and his family were on the way to Birmingham Airport on Boxing Day last year when both front tyres of the car suddenly burst giving him no option but to pull into a nearby petrol station.
Mr Cooper said: “At the time, I had a disabled passenger and a two-year-old child with me. Given the circumstances and the freezing weather conditions, I had no option but to pull into EG Stone Services to ensure our safety.”
Mr Cooper said he spoke directly with a staff member regarding the parking time limits and explained his situation.
“I was reassured that, should I receive a parking charge, I should simply explain the circumstances to the company. Once the tyres were replaced, we continued our journey to Birmingham Airport. However, a few weeks later, I received a £100 parking fine from VARS Technology Ltd for exceeding the permitted parking time."
He appealed and lost at POPLA, despite - IIRC - the Joint Code having some guff about 'emergencies' (he had a breakdown service attend).
The duped victim actually thought he had to pay. He added: “I find it unreasonable and unjust that, despite my car being unbelievable and the situation involving vulnerable passengers in severe weather conditions, no discretion or compassion has been applied. This raises serious concerns about how such parking enforcement systems operate and whether they fairly account for genuine emergencies.”
The Express & Star has requested a comment from VARS Technology Ltd on the matter but has not yet received a statement from the firm.
The BPA must be so proud.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'd imagine that's how PPC World set up their car parks, is that right @Kaizen2024?
[sarcasm mode: ON]
I mean, it must be tiring for these overvalued, overpaid, under-worked and under-taxed directors to get out of bed, drive to the office in their expensive cars to sit in said office for 8 hours reading the newspapers and drinking coffee.
[sarcasm mode: OFF]

On Thursday, April 23 - the day after The Argus had contacted Tesco and Horizon Parking - Tesco confirmed that the charge had been cancelled.Quelle surprise. Cancellation refused then suddenly, furious back-pedalling once a newspaper sniffs around.
ANPR 24/7 is excessive and ruins confidence in high streets. At this site, you can walk to other shops so it isn't 'Tesco customers only'.
There is no reason (except parasite PPC greed), for evening hours parking bans at retail car parks and this idea won't have come from Tesco, IMHO,
The BPA must be so proud.
P.S. parking in adjacent George Street is free on Sundays, matey!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This is a major flaw with Popla. If you don't spoon-feed them they simply side with the PPC.
No doubt he explained the situation but the assessor simply rejects under mitigating circumstances unless the appellant has the nous to explain contract law to them like they're an idiot, or quote the code at them.
