“Euro Car Parks sought a high court injunction to stop it being named”
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Let's just say ECP's efforts to (reportedly) block CMA emails and lose important letters down the back of the sofa will have kept smarmy Derek very busy (JMW Solicitors).

Whoever, be it Euro or a legal who inacted thecourt injunction must be implicated
Whichever legal, they take or try to take EURO vlaims to court must be investigated by the CMA and the SRA. IT IS A SCAM WELL ABOVE THE INTELLIGENCE OF THE BBA AND IPC

Cllr Jeremy Moulton says: "The city needs parking companies to support local businesses not damage them."
Both Cllr Moulton and the leader of Southampton City Council have contacted Britannia Parking to discuss the management of the car park at West Quay as drivers have been unfairly issued £100 pcns after being unable to extend their ticket past 8pm OR failing to realise a changeover had taken place.
Britannia's 8pm parking cut off means those parked before 8pm need to come back and buy another ticket.
In his petition Cllr Moulton urges Britannia Parking to carry out a review of recent appeals with goodwill cancellations where people were clearly caught out. It has received the backing of one driver who was penalised twice at this site and says "I will never be using that car park again".

English councils ban cars over 5 metres from car parks
Many well-known vehicles, such as the Mercedes S-Class, Range Rovers, Tesla Model S, BMW 7 Series, Audi A8, Rolls Royce Cullinan, and Kia EV9, would be deemed too large for typical bay parking places
We know that some councils have straw for brains and this is plain stupidy
ANSWER -= Get a grip and MUST make parking bays bigger, it's not rocket science
Bet the rogue traders do the same, what will Supermarkets think about stupid councils banning their customers
LARGE CARS WILL ATTRACT A FINE FROM COUNCILS and if private companies do the same
IT'S ALL JUST A MONEY SCAM

UPDATE on this story:
The annual permit fee for the Sandy Town Centre Car Park in Bedfordshire has now been set at £250 per annum.
Alan Crossland who owns a business close to the car park said he was now "more than happy". He realised they had to contribute to the car park but "paying £1,000 a year was just extortionate".

Councillor Jeremy Moulton - West Quay Retail Park - Fighting to get Unfair Fines Refunded
Here's Jeremy's update on his petition page:
20 Feb 2026
Today I have been inundated with messages and emails from people sharing their experiences of being unfairly fined. I have already raised a number of these cases with the Director at Britannia Parking, with whom I am in direct correspondence, and asked that they urgently review them.
Alongside challenging Britannia Parking directly, I am pressing the Council to use every lever available to address these unfair practices. This includes exploring any influence the Council may hold as the freehold owner of the land - whether through direct engagement with the company or indirectly via the leaseholder. I have also contacted Trading Standards to ask whether they have any remit to investigate.
The more I hear, the more concerned I become about the scale of this issue. I will also be approaching the BBC to see whether they would be interested in taking this up - it may be one for the consumer rights strand on The One Show.
Please continue to share the petition and help shine a light on what is happening at this car park.
Best wishes,
Councillor Jeremy Moulton
Maybe Jeremy should also contact the CMA

This would be a good article & signage photo to link as an example for the CMA to add a parking case study to their unfair terms guidance that they are consulting on.
