"
The BPA and their members like to sweep bad publicity under the carpet"No doubt they fully comply with the KADOE contract:-
"G2. Publicity and Media
G2.1. The Customer shall notify the DVLA immediately if any circumstances arise which could result in publicity or media attention to the Customer which could adversely reflect on the DVLA or the KADOE Service."

With all these horror stories which are getting worse every day, it must be time to take ATA status away from the BPA and IPC as bot have failed to operate a professional business by allowing rogue traders to rule the roost
The DVLA are also to blame for allowing rogue traders to access personal data

That screen looks like it's been cleaned with petroleum jelly or glue and flour.
Does anyone know if that location's machines connect by wi-fi or mobile signal? If so, they should be hard wired connections, especially if processing payment data.

not sure if this has been posted, bbc news clip about the introduction of parking tariffs at a council run car park. Annual permits are £1000. Local businesses are not impressed.

Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'

A 10% hike in Edinburgh council pay-and-display rates had yielded only a 4% revenue increase, rather than the 7% that was expected.
Although lost revenues means less money is available to maintain roads and pavements "it’s encouraging that people across Edinburgh are choosing more sustainable ways of getting around the city than private cars" said Labour councillor Mandy Watt.
Or is it the case people are still using their cars but visiting less costly places to park.

AGAIN .. It's just Labour talking with a FORKED TONGUE
Another tax no doubt to fix pot holes

Erm …
Labour has retained control of City of Edinburgh Council under a minority administration propped up by Conservatives and Liberal Democrats.
Emphasis on minority. 🤷♀️

Nuneaton's hospital slammed 'an absolute disgrace'
An angry call has been made for the situation, especially for Blue Badge holders, to be improved
"Car parking at Nuneaton's hospital has been dubbed 'an absolute disgrace'. Jeff Hunt spoke angrily about the situation with car parks at the George Eliot Hospital, especially for disabled drivers.
The former borough councillor and founder of People in Action told a George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust (GEH) and South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust board meeting that his own daughter faces a £130 fine due to complications with Blue Badge holders being able to register their cars so that they can park for free."
Yet again, the burden has been shifted to disabled people to take extra steps - literally - to remember to 'exempt their car' on every visit. Not just display the Blue Badge.
All because the big BPA players want to 'run' every bay remotely by camera.
But under the DPA 2018 and EA 2010 that's not a valid justification and it makes it far more likely that blue badge holders will get a PCN than able bodied people because the risk snd burden is far higher than when accessible bays were checked by the PPC or landowner staff on foot.
Some of them even force disabled people to scan their Blue Badge, despite that data being protected (Council only scheme).
'Wanting' to use cheap ANPR/CCTV (instead of proper on site assistance & regular visual checking by staff of displayed Badges) because the PPCs know they can save money and catch out disabled people more, is not a valid reason for getting 'special category' data of disabled people.
Processing special category data requires a higher level of justification and it's just not there because it places an unfair burden on vulnerable people.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This is the link. If you're on a PC just mash the ESC key to avoid any paywall issues. (Although I refreshed the page too and didn't have any such issues).
I do, however, have the I still don't care about cookies extension in my browser.
