If she'd come to this forum (or alternatively, just complained to the retail park) she'd have had this cancelled with a single email at the time.

Sadly, she still hasn't come here because she states that she thinks the court hearing letter is telling her to 'send her defence again'.

Oh dear. Doesn't bode well, if she can't Google it and find us, and suss out that she is at WS and exhibits bundle stage...

in sumary It would appear that the roads were gridlocked and she had an important hospital appointment to get to , option 1 try and get out and miss the hospital appointment - and these can be hard to get, option 2 abandon vehicle and come back for it later.

 One plus point is among th comments - if you can get them to load, it would appear some people are begining to twig

Under the terms of government giving the foolish BPA a contract to operate as an ATA, did this include interference from money scammers ??

Take a bow ParkingEye, for reportedly issuing unfair parking charges to a Hotel cleaner whose vehicle was exempt:

Marriott apparently refused to help her at first.

ParkingEye 'rejected her appeal' then sent the case to 'bailiffs' who bumped it up to £170. That's the way to help the Marriott retain staff and repeat guest business - NOT.

£170? That'll be DCBL then.  Horrific firm, IMHO.

Only when the paper sniffed around, did PE and the Hotel scurry around to lift the carpet, sweep the dirt under and pretend that cancellation was indicative of "goodwill".

I can't think of a single PPC that knows the meaning of the word...

And NCP have rocked up 6 months ago with their 'new tech' ANPR system and reportedly the change has made the drop off point at Chelmsford station so unclear in terms of signage, that innocent people following the instructions of railway staff regarding where to drop off are getting £100 PCNs:

Would be a jolly wheeze to get people to block the only drop off bays, wouldn't it? But only a rogue PPC would try that.  No suggestion that the blocked bays are down to NCP, just musing what a clever scam that would be if a PPC tried it.

Maybe it's railway staff on a whitelist.

Either way, it's clearly not operating fairly.

Stand up, notorious Smart Parking, who have been described by a Police Officer as 'authorised criminals':

Well of course they don't own the car park.  But that's just lazy journalism.

The guy in the article has sussed out Smart Parking:

I’m a police officer so I'm not intimidated by their tactics or anything, the worst-case scenario is that they’ll take me to court. I’ve done what I've done and I'll wait and see what happens but I'm not going to allow them to intimidate me or bully me into paying something that really isn’t fair."
