From the Milton Keynes Citizen - "Is this private parking ticket company the most unpopular business in Milton Keynes?"  They are, of course, talking about Napier Parking.

No surprise that the Machiavellian IAS turn down the majority of appeals!

Smart Parking in repeated VRM misread farce that saw them sue the wrong person:

    https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-news/parking-fine-number-plate-error-32588756.amp

The car caught by ANPR several times:

    Brian's completely different car:

"He quickly realised that the vehicle, which was photographed going in and out of 'Peppers Restaurant' car park in Birmingham, didn't belong to him. The number plate on his Saab Estate is almost identical to the vehicle in question but ends ZTT, while the Nissan Micra pictured clearly ends in ZTL.

Brian, a musician and music teacher, wrote to Smart Parking, who issued the £100 fine, explaining the error. The firm accepted this, cancelling the parking charge notice. But in the months that followed he received two more letters, in February and March 2022, for an alleged breach relating to the same vehicle.

"I hadn't realised initially that the fines that came in February and March were additional parking fines but again they're not for my car. It was quiet for a while and then I had their henchmen sending me letters saying I owe them money. It's now resulted in a small claim."

"It's not my vehicle and I'm totally innocent of everything." Brian says he wrote to Smart Parking again and has had to respond to the smalls claims court correspondence. "It's absolute nonsense."

    Indeed.

"Absolute nonsense" sums up DCB Legal roboclaims like this.

Love his use of the word "henchmen"!   :D

SABA ripped off a scared 91 year old for £60 because the duped victim & son tried hard to exempt themselves but didn't take the correct (jumped-up and illegal under the Equality Act) extra steps that SABA make disabled motorists take, in order to use an accessible bay:

The BPA must be so proud.

And East Midlands Railway (EMR) is going down the same route, exposing ALL disabled motorist customers to PCNs from APCOA for not knowing to take extra steps to 'register' their Blue Badge, as well as display it:

    https://westbridgfordwire.com/anpr-parking-measures-coming-to-nottingham-station/

EMR is introducing Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology across several station car parks from late 2025 onwards.

Blue Badge holders will continue to park free of charge but must register their vehicle in advance with APCOA. Some areas will remain excluded, and clear signage will be displayed to help customers understand which areas are covered. Simon Pready, Commercial Director at East Midlands Railway, said:

“This project is an important investment in our stations. It will make it simpler and easier to park and begin your journey with us."

    Ummm... but not disabled people.

It will expose them to £100 PCNs. Nice work. And as for 'clear signage'? You are joking.

    Eejits...

Having had to deal with the Home Office on multiple occasions due to my wife's immigration status, that does not surprise me, sadly.
