Why does the industry think this treatment of consumers is socially acceptable? I wouldn't be able to do what these aggressive greedy thugs do to people.

But has become acceptable by default.
....... just as the maximum admin charge of £20 for a minor keying error (really a software designed error) has become the default charge.
A well briefed MP is needed to argue the consumers case, hopefully one who's been stung by the process. 
How many more days left to influence the consultation?

09.38.55 to 09.48.05 would be 9 mins 10 seconds, so how do you know it was over 10 minutes from the data available - or are you just so prejudiced in your thinking you can't contemplate aPPC being wrong? And as regulars have seen so many times before, clocks on entry and exit cameras can be very misaligned.

Oldham West, Chadderton and Royton MP Jim McMahon has written to Manchester Airport, raising concerns about its drop-off and collection fees.

He has called for a 'full review' of signage approaching the airport, at the terminals, and immediately on arrival, an end to the practice of 'stacking up charges' and a review of the appeals process given that unsuccessful appeals increase penalties further.

The minister also asked the airport to publish data on income from the drop-off and collection charges so that there is transparency on how much money is made through duplicate charges and late payments.

More evidence to prove you're more likely to get your pcn cancelled by contacting the newspapers than spending 5 mins appealing to a private parking firm.

Shopper Lisa Henderson was outraged after receiving a letter from NCP stating she had to pay £100 for her tyre scraping the inside border of the white line of a parking spot.

Lisa's appeal was refused by NCP "they came back and said that I was in breach of the terms of the car park. I just can't get over the money-making corruption of this."

But after Nottinghamshire Live contacted NCP for a comment, they stated they had reviewed Lisa's case and had decided to cancel the parking charge with immediate effect. They also offered their sincere apologies.

It's time for the MHCLG to stop believing what the IPC/BPA say and look at the facts.
