He said: "I got letters from various debt collectors. When I wrote to DCB Legal, who were pursuing the debt, I told them I'd got the receipt now and they said it was up to Euro Car Parks to drop it. I wrote to Euro Car Parks and they told me it was up to DCB".
"DCB said they would see me in court, so I said, 'bring it on'. He said: "They sent me a letter saying they'd drop the court case if I just paid £60, plus they wanted me to sign a confidentiality agreement. I said no."

Euro Car Parks' useless payment methods at Syston’s Town Square Car Park strikes again.
Sounds like he did a counterclaim but for some reason didn't remember to ask for his costs, so came away after the hearing with £20!
Then he didn't ask for his costs when he won despite the usual clearing of throat and 'anything else, Mr Xxxxx?' pointed question from the judge at the end.
I'm guessing!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

BOG STANDARD MONEY SCAMMERS APPROVED BY THE BPA ... DISGUSTING1 -
NCP offer up a new reason for sending pcns to Asda shoppers who had paid for parking and did not breach the T&Cs.“This was due to a misunderstanding on how the customer had paid."Mother of three Charlee Hann received two separate pcns from NCP, stating she'd parked without displaying a valid permit. She paid via the NCP App!!!Both her pcns have now been cancelled after the newspaper intervened. But Mrs Hann still feels frustrated.“I’m glad mine were cancelled, but what about the people who’ve paid these fines when they didn’t need to? How many others are out there who won’t fight it or who can’t prove they paid?” she said.“It’s disgusting, and I want people to be aware so it doesn’t happen to them.”4

https://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/news/25397498.ipswich-woman-fined-cardinal-park-ticket-machines-error/Mrs Maitland was heading out to celebrate her granddaughter's birthday with a family dinner at Nando's back in April when she encountered all of the parking machines telling her:
"You do not need to pay, simply leave the car park."
Weeks later she received a charge in the post stating that she hadn't bought a parking ticket. She added: "The initial fine was £60 but since we had evidence of what the machine told us we thought we had an great shot at winning our appeal."
POPLA reportedly told her to "pay up because other people had".
That's not true! Clearly POPLA said "pay up because other people had managed to pay around that time" i.e. the daft POPLA Assessor ignored her evidence.
Dunno the outcome because the page reset and plonked up the paywall. Anyone?

VCS charge driver for stopping for 17 seconds to read, understand and choose to accept or decline the contract on offer, falling foul of their "you agree to pay £100 if you read this sentence" scam.He should have used their telepathic contractual service.
Obviously the IAS declined his appeal.5
