ANPR cameras are a comin' to Manchester Airport
From late March 2025, barriers will be removed, and drivers will no longer need to stop on exit. Instead, an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system will log vehicle details, allowing charges to be paid online or by phone by midnight the next day.2 -

I've been stuck in a taxi in a 30 minute queue waiting to pay, exiting Manchester Airport, because the authorities / contracted parking company cannot administer their car parks.
Two exits, one barrier broken and other blocked by driver unable to pay. Absolutely no-one present to manually override systems. Taxi driver was fuming, knowing his charges going up by the minute with no comeback. And something taxi driver said was a regular occurrence.
Could almost see the money being printed by the parking company.
That pay within 24 hours is a clear inbuilt trip up.
Needs seven days to allow for the traveller to complete their onward journey, sleep etc.
Callous disregard for their customers by the airport authorities.4 -
Taxi drivers should boycott certain places but I guess you can't...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Seems the only one to benefit from UKPC car park management at Nokoto Drive in Stockmoor was UKPC.

Good old David Walsh at the Sheffield Star reports info direct from a 'whistleblower'ex-employee of Excel Parking Services:
2025 account:

Nothing surprising there at all... what an appalling company, by all accounts seen here.
Hmmm...reminds me of this blog about ParkingEye. So, according to the latest conduct seen, things haven't improved a jot over the years, have they?

Yes an appalling company though clearly not an opinion shared by the industry. I think Excel could have been awarded IPC Parking Team of the year if they hadn't received all that bad publicity forcing red faced ATAs to change their recently written CoP.
Excel have certainly shown how to employ a wealth of parking management systems and processes that only their company benefit from, the level of profit generated even surprised Excel bosses.

Another admission of a "system failure" this time from Creative Parking. And once again the only one to benefit from this "system failure" are Creative Parking. One motorist said: “I was expected to spend my time submitting appeals for their error.."Does this industry not realise how stupid they sound demanding motorists pay a high monetary charge for their errors (alleged) when the companies own business practice is riddled with errors.... repetitive errors.2
