So where is the self regulation from the professional bodies (cough, cough) to curtail this abuse. The ATAs will be praying the bad publicity dies down quickly on this one, if not a 2nd review of their Code may be on the way.2

Here the PA news agency answers 10 key questions about them."
" What should I do first if I receive a parking ticket I think is unfair?
Several extensive online guides exist with advice on how to challenge a penalty charge notice or parking charge notice, such as by the RAC and consumer website Money Saving Expert.
Read those before doing anything."
Disappointing:-
"What happens if I just ignore a parking charge notice?
Some operators may take the case to a county court.
The RAC warns that drivers’ credit rating will be affected if they fail to defend a claim and receive a judgment they do not pay.
Bailiffs may also try to seize your property."

Very concerned I could lose if it goes to court now.
The case lost is a one-off involving one (wrong) Judge where the case would be easy to appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks to another poster on their thread:
Armtrac lost in court (as expected) and were ordered to pay costs:

"The much-hated company was fighting to get her to cough up £245. Instead, it ended up having to give HER money...
...Truro County Court confirmed the claim was dismissed and the claimant - Armtrac - was ordered to pay the defendant - Morna - £90 for loss of earnings, £2.40 for parking and £8.10 for travel costs. The total amount of £100.50 was payable in 21 days and has been paid to her."

I do question with out any lack of respect why he is running a COA and not an experienced barrister. I hope my concerns are unfounded2

Do hearings in the Court of Appeal set precedents? I know those in the Supreme Court do, but ..... is there not another level of court between Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court?
(I thought the Beavis case, for example, went through two precedent-setting courts - the last one being the Supreme court).Jenni x3 -
Yes the do. As do various other courts.1

What I was meaning was ... there used to be an option to appeal a County Court judgment, but this appeal simply went to a higher-ranked circuit judge. The outcome of such an appeal would be persuasive, but it didn't set a precedent.
I'm wondering exactly what level of appeal Jackson Yamba is actually representing his client at.Jenni x1 -
Court of appeal.....1
