Our complaints process is now closed, and we will not be entering into any further discussion about this matter.
What a snotty concluding paragraph. Just who do they think they are?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I think they were just trying to have the last word, having had to admit that their wording was grammatically incorrect!

Hopefully the DLUHC will be delivering them the last word before too long. Now that's what 'rational' really looks like!.

This is typical of POPLA, head in the clouds forgetting of course that soon, they will be visiting the job centre along with the other worthless bunch called the IAS

I suspect that parking company staff will be joining them, which will be a good thing, getting real non scamming jobs

Here's another one to make the IPC proud.  This conduct is worse than clamping and is obviously a complete scam.

A 'double dip' at a Chorley Charity Shop where the person stopped for 2 minutes to drop stuff at the Sally Army shop & left, but when she returned with more donations the same day, she reportedly parked on street (correctly) having been warned by the shop staff that a predatory PPC was operating in that car park, targeting drivers dropping off donations.

Her heinous crime was then returning to the area and reversing back into the car park to safely turn round without blocking a bus stop:
    https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/i-slapped-100-parking-fine-30475760.amp

"After dropping off her items, Rachel noted that she had more belongings at home that she wanted to give to the charity and asked whether she could return.

Within the hour, Rachel arrived back at the Salvation Army, but this time she parked in front of the shop straight away.  She said:

"As I was leaving, I reversed back onto that car park to get onto the main road.  Where I had parked, it was at a bus stop and it was also at traffic lights and I thought it was too dangerous to start making a manoeuvre.

So, I reversed back onto the original car park, turned right, and drove off."

Rachel then received a letter in the post from ES Parking Enforcement Ltd, fining her £100 for leaving her vehicle in the car park - but claiming she was there for 48 minutes and 54 seconds.

    Kerchhiiing!

ES Parking named and shamed for issuing a double dip £100 PCN for someone who states she only stopped for 2 minutes, not 50.

I mean - just clear off, ES Parking.

The UK's High Streets will be a far better place when the worst PPC money-grabbing bullyboys start getting DVLA-banned once there is proper scrutiny next year.

Another joke is Premier Park thinking they can obtain DVLA keeper data WITHOUT REASONABLE CAUSE and issue a rogue 'scam' PCN to disabled driver, for parking in an accessible bay with a BlueBadge:
    https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/news/glasgow-woman-blue-badge-fined-27322659.amp

The victim - quite rightly - thought it was ludicrous and appealed because the photos showed the Blue Badge on the windscreen.

Did Premier Park rush to apologise for misuse of her private DVLA data obtained under false pretences, and tell her it was cancelled?

    Did they heck!

"Louise immediately filed an appeal online but didn't receive a reply from the company. She was fearful that Premier Park would send debt collectors after her, however, the driver discovered (when logging in online) that the fine had been cancelled five weeks after it had been issued."

    No apology.  No letter.  Nothing.

This incident comes after Glasgow Live reported on a dying pensioner who was hassled by the company and debt collectors for two months after legally parking in a disabled bay.

"Premier Park have been contacted for comment."

But we'll no doubt be waiting forever.  The BPA must be so proud.

Holidaymakers put off ever returning to Cornwall:
    https://www.cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-news/gallery/holidaymakers-put-cornwall-after-parking-8601373

Cornwall Live "looks back at numerous occasions motorists slammed parking 'scams' and challenged hefty parking fines with some saying they would never return or would rather go to prison than pay.

Here we share ten occasions in which people were issued PCN charges between £60-£100, and why they believe the decision was utterly wrong".

I mean, this is what 'parking management' is all about, is it, the BPA and the IPC?

And the DVLA who are just as much enablers of this appalling rogue industry. The DVLA should be ashamed but no, it's all 'business as usual' for them, according to their OWN internal description of their own template fob off 'BAU' letter.

DVLA: you are meant to protect keeper data, not hand it out like selling sweeties to your mates at £2.50 a pop.

Can you tell I am fed up to the back teeth of DVLA's enabling role in all this crap?

Here we have Ocean Parking ruining people's lives by issuing a rip off £100 PCN for perfectly normal use of a College car park by a student:
    https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/news/stoke-on-trent-news/angry-dad-demands-probe-stoke-8593557.amp

"Angry dad demands probe into Stoke-on-Trent College parking fines

Ocean Parking rejected the appeal - despite his daughter having permission to park there and proof of her student pass and an appointment on the Cauldon campus that day. The fine was later cancelled after the college intervened in the row."

PLAN A CALLED UPON TO STRIKE AGAIN!

    Ocean Parking's laughable website says:

    Why Ocean Parking?

    "We're different. Really"

    "Safe
    Smart
    Fair"

"For sites using attendants, our fair and friendly staff are there to help visitors who need assistance using the pay & display machine, to ask for directions and to check what the rules are. They are also trained to administer First Aid and help with breakdown assistance.

And for those who receive a Parking Charge Notice for breaking the rules - getting caught often results in hostility and conflict, if a motorist feels that they have incorrectly been issued with a PCN. We have a specialist appeals team who are extremely experienced and knowledgeable about each site we manage.

The team always seek to de-escalate the fallout from the issuance of a PCN, they are trained to listen, respect and investigate the facts to establish whether the evidence provided is enough to accept their appeal."

Awww they sound like cuddly kittens.  Hands up who believes the above, based on the article linked?
