I'm not seeing anything taken from the ParkingEye Odeon defence example I signposted you to grab wording from?

I would add the word 'elsewhere' in the last sentence of your paragraph 2 such that it reads...
The Defendant had work commitments elsewhere during the time of the alleged parking event.

I do of course mean your first paragraph 2.

I don't know, it just doesn't look familiar!

I seem to recall the ParkingEye Odeon one talks a bit more about the disingenuousness of a hidden ipad and how that is a 'concealed pitfall or trap' as per the Beavis case...

    I submitted AoS on 1st June '22.

With a Claim Issue Date of 13th May, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 15th June 2022 to file your Defence.

That's just two days away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
    HI Keith,

I have a problem with my scanner, so will have to go down the Electronic Signature route. Is that as simple as just typing my full name at the bottom of my defence statement?

Smartphone?  Plain piece of white paper, sign with a pen, take photo, save as a file on your PC, laptop, tablet, crop it down, resave, drop it into your Defence.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

👍 Being a layman, with it being a legal document and the probability of it having strict rules - thought best to ask.

    Looks good to go!

Make sure you get an email acknowledgement back from the CCBC.

  • Defence finally emailed to both parties! Thank goodness for a tech-savvy teenage son who helped with a couple of technical issues! I'll await the confirmation email from CCBC as well as the N180 Questionnaire.

Just wanted to thank those who have helped and advised me so far, especially @Coupon-mad....goes without saying, I wouldn't have known where to start if it weren't for this forum and all this information available!
