It's done. 🥳.
I gave my notice today via Teams, and worked out my final day in the office with my line manager. I stop work next week Wednesday 18 December and will hand back my laptop, ID card and the printer that they gave me. I feel very relieved! Tomorrow I will complete the online leaver's form and email my resignation letter through and then we're going bowling for our leaving do and I will say goodbye to my colleagues.
My Deputy Director and line manager were flabbergasted when I told them that I'm resigning and I won't be changing my mind. They were asking what they could do to keep me and I said nothing, my decision is made. I have no future plans, but I'll be okay. I think oftentimes, employers believe that you can't survive without them. This situation wasn't my fault, you're right about that @Cherryfudge. At first, I was beating myself up for my email asking for an extension to the office working. Thinking that there was issues with me, as that was how I was made to feel. But I'll be eternally grateful for the support that you all gave me, I truly do appreciate it. They tried to gaslight me. They were succeeding. But you all helped me to see that I wasn't in the wrong, and it helped to give me the strength to just walk away. My mental health and peace of mind thanks you all 🥰.
It's a bit surreal and I'm not quite sure what to make of everything, but I feel deep down in my heart and at the core of my soul that I have made the right decision. Whatever is due to happen next for me will happen. I'll definitely focus on my CV etc, so thank you for the tips @KajiKita. I've copied the advice to the notes section on my MacBook, so that when I'm ready to do this, I can. I hope the first day in your new job went well today @KajiKita. I will definitely try a vision board and see how that goes.
I barely slept last night, so I'm going to sign off for the day. I'm pushing the boat out and taking my son to Honest Burgers, I'm craving their pesto chicken burger and rosemary salted chips. We're off to celebrate being brave and knowing when to walk away from a situation that isn't nurturing your soul.
Thanks again everyone, xx.Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

That feeling of relief tells you everything you need to know.
As to them asking what they could do to keep you, well. 'Lol' is the politest way to put it! 'Um, perhaps literally don't have done any of those things you've constantly done for years, up to and including not letting a disabled woman do her job perfectly well from home for one whole extra day when you chose to change the parameters'?
Anyway, they will be in the past very soon. Enjoy your dinner, and enjoy your sleep knowing you've done the right thing for you x3 -

I feel like saying 'Congratulations!' For doing the right thing, for standing up for yourself. You have so much to offer and now your horizons are suddenly much wider, which is a bit daunting but it's also full of potential.
I hope the burger was good and you saved me some rosemary chips, that's such a great flavour.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
