Lost My Phone - No Access

I would get a new mobile phone and sim card as soon as possible. Then go into branch and ask them to update your phone number. I assume if you go in with ID and proof of address and explain the situation to them they should be able to do that for you. From there you will be able to reset your internet banking login details online and from there report your card as lost or stolen and order a replacement card and pin.0

But what about if they walk in armed with driving licence, birth certificate, passport, council tax bill and a gas and electricity bill, all in their name? I take your point entirely - but in this day and age where so many folk rely on their phones for everything, someone losing/breaking their phone must be a far from unusual occurrence? I'd have thought most banks would have some sort of set procedure in place for dealing with such a situation?p00hsticks said:dranzer01 said:
You say id find it hard to prove myself to someone in the branch.... how would that be?p00hsticks said:I'm not 100% clear as to why the OP needs a replacement card after losing their phone, but assuming it's been blocked because the OP has reported their phone as missing, then with no phone, no bank card and not being able to remember their online banking details they're also potentially going to face the problem of proving that they are who they say they are to the bank staff either in a local branch or at the end of a telephone or internet chat service .....So do you know your bank account number and sort code ?Even if you do, it sounds to me like you're thinking that you can walk into a bank branch and say something like'Hello I'm dranzer01. I have a bank account with you. I don't know the details, don't have my bank card, can't remember my online login, don't have the phone that is registered with you, but please can you print me out a new bank card and pin that I can just walk out with now and start spending on ?'Somehow I think that's unlikely to happen....One possible problem that I can foresee is that even if that id satisfies the local bank staff that dranzer01 is indeed dranzer01, it may not help them get up details of his bank account if he doesn't know the the sort code / account number, online security details or have a bank card on them.0 -

I've walked into a branch of my bank after having lost my wallet whilst on holiday, saying (effectively) "Hello, I'm Ergates. I have a bank account with you. I don't know the details, don't have any cards or any other ID. Can I have some money please?" And they helped me.p00hsticks said:dranzer01 said:

You might not know your account details, but you will still know your name, address, date of birth and probably some details of your accounts.3 -
Any bank branch will be able to find your accounts based on your personal details (name, address, etc).p00hsticks said:Ebe_Scrooge said:

With accounts at Monzo, Chase, and Starling, I suppose I better start devising a back-up plan in case I lose my phone. No branches to walk into there, and I could be anyone online, or over the phone

There you go.... exactly my point. Thought that was common sense followed with idErgates said:

Yes, because Ive lost my phone and i dont have my bank cards on me and since all my cards were connected to my apple pay and since this week/weekend I want to go out and live life, this is the reason for this topic in finding out if banks can print bank cards on the spot if I were to visit my bank Lloyds/CO-OPERATIVE.
The reason for this topic is because I do not have a phone on my person. I do not have a landline. I have an internet connection. I cannot see any 'live help' for the banks im with.
As much as you want to Live Life this weekend, the odds on getting new cards at a branch as very slim, unless you have plenty of proof of ID.
Not sure why you would want a pin as it should be the same as the old one.
As to cards linked to apple. You have a internet connection. De link the cards.
You only option is to go to a branch & hope.Life in the slow lane0 -
Sadly, most people rely on someone else to sort out all of their problems.sheramber said:

Barclays does. I would think Natwest would as well haven't had the chance to test that.impoverishedtraveller said:
