Does anyone know how to initiate an online chat? I've tried to do it from my My3 account but the Start Chat box is blacked out and does not repond to clicking.

Found the same dysfunction as you when trying to chat via browser.0 -

Naturally, this is all moot if you're not using such things to begin with.0 -

That all went smoothly.I registered the new Asda SIM, set up the new account and requested the phone number transfer using the PAC.I registered a payment card and attempted a £5 top up.The web page appeared to hang with a 'please wait while we process payment' message.I phoned Asda support using the new SIM & explained the problem. He suggested exiting the web browser and clearing cookies. In the mean time they have given me some free credit so I can use the mobile straight away.As it is weekend, the phone number transfer won't take place until Monday.I will see what happens then.So far, Asda Customer support seems pretty good. No long wait to speak to an advisor. The number transfer didn't actually take place until around midday Tuesday (about 4 days after the request was submitted). That's understandable as the request was made on a Saturday. My advice is not to initiate the number transfer on a weekend. The delay may result in problems if you rely on the old number for 2 factor authentication, although I believe you can swap back and use the old SIM until the switch over actually takes place. I assume that would still work even after the refund has taken place and you have no credit.I needed the old number to receive an authentication sms for a Paypal transaction. Luckily Paypal allows you to receive the code using voice over a landline. That saves having to switch the SIM in the mobile.0

I did have Adblock 'On' for this site, but disabling it made no difference, I still can't access Chat. I'll try the app on my phone or else have to use 333.

That’s exactly what I did yesterday Allanr. Chat lady at Three sent my PAC to my phone in a text message while I was on the chat line to her on my laptop. She then said that my refund would be sent over to my new provider, she had previously asked me where I was transferring to, Asda mobile. She then said something about the fact that as I had already received my pac that it would be in the form of a refund to my bank account. I asked her which bank account as I am not totally sure which one I have used to top up each time. She then asked for the first 6 and the last 4 digits of the bank where my refund was to go to. Said it would take 3 working days. That was yesterday so maybe with a bit of luck by Friday but probably Monday. I did try using my phone to send a text after we had ended chat, it did send ok and I know it was received at the other end so the amount of the refund will be a bit of guess work if I use the phone before I send the PAC to my new provider. I could use up all my credit, would they then ask me for some money back I wonder. I too got a case number to refer to.
I won’t send my PAC to Asda until I receive the refund. That way I am still a customer of Three if I need to contact them again.

Transferring and getting money refunded is making the transfer a longer procedure than just a closure and sending a PAC to a new provider. I will be reluctant to use my phone until transferred to Asda but being without a phone for quite a few days isn’t a great option. I can still see messages which are being sent but won’t send any unless absolutely necessary, just so that I don’t confuse the transfer amount.0
