I think I'd probably bite the solicitors hands off, if they'll certify them for a fiver each. I was quoted that for a certified copy of a will by my solicitor, but they'd made it up and it was only 3 pages - in the end she did a couple of copies for nothing and even hand delivered it to me. So for the full LPA that sounds very fair to me.
Certainly do the Health and Welfare one too when you have chance - I have had need to use that one too. It's a slightly different kettle of fish as it's only likely to be used an odd time, if at all, and only when you or your husband loses capacity and you're speaking for them on a medical or care issue. Especially important if you perhaps hold strongly held views about being resuscitated or the like.
I'd also reiterate what someone else suggested earlier, about keeping a pdf of the LPAs as a document on your phone, or preferably the Attorneys - my sister and I did this and were able to show it in an A&E emergency environment and it saved a potential problem for medics and peace of mind for us.
