Gemini PCN as hospital, and I am hospital staff

Hey all
I am staff at Newham Hospital.
I am not sure if I have ground to appeal, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I will attach the ticket below.
What has happened is on this occasion, I forgot to pay for my parking via Ringgo when I arrived to work. I remembered around 11am, and paid there and then on the app.

When I got to my car after work I saw a PCN, and it was timed at 10am.

I have talked to my hospital and they have mentioned that staff get discounted parking rates but still have to pay it. And they have told me to go through appeal process, they can't cancel it from their side, which btw I find horrible on their part.

So i wanted to ask anyone here, is there anything I could really do and do i have ground to appeal?

It is a vehicle that I own, not leased etc.

PCN is here:

Many thanks all.

You should get back in touch with the hospital again , and remind them of the NHS parking principles for staff, visitors and patients, are you aware of this?
if not you can see it here:

    The hospital told you this:
they can't cancel it from their side, which btw I find horrible on their part.

which seems to contradict with this statement in the NHS parking principles

NHS organisations are responsible for the actions of private contractors who run car parks on their behalf.
You should also be aware of the new government initiated code of practice - how much is the parking charge notice for?
If its above the cap, then its safe to say that the parking company is a rogue operator, again putting it in conflict whit the NHS parking principles

I was not aware of this, thank you.
The PCN is £100, and £60 if you pay within 14 days.

If you are a member of a trade union, your union rep should be all over this like a rash.

You should also complain to your MP and the secretary of state for health. This type of predatory tactic will drive NHS workers away if going to work comes with a £100 surcharge every time.

You can try appeal but do not have to.  The Hospital are responsible and can cancel it.

PLAN A is meant to be a robust escalated complaint, not just an enquiry to the first person who fobs you off.

The hospital should be following the government guidelines. Did you point this out to them?
Do you have a union rep? They should be dealing with this abuse of hospital staff.

I have used examples from https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4766249/successful-complaints-about-private-parking-tickets-how-to-get-them-cancelled to send a more firm response. I have also just complained to my local MP.
Unfortunately I do not have a union rep.
I will keep everyone updated. Thanks again for all the help.

    Hey everyone
So I contacted the hospital again, twice, in the last 20 days and still have not yet received any response.
Today was the day I had to appeal (day 26), so I just also submitted my appeal right now with the default template on https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822/newbies-private-parking-ticket-old-or-new-read-these-faqs-first-thankyou#latest

What would be my next steps exactly? Am I just to wait now for a response?
