I like the idea of vertical cards and details on the back most banks will go that way soon, not sure about this design but will get used to it,0

Is it still "eco friendly" when used to fill your vehicle's fuel tank with Diesel or Unleaded?

You could say this also if you keep it in a leather wallet........
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
All Cards are non eco friendly if you buy something non eco friendly e.g a car etc0

And I think someone asked earlier, but the letter that came with the card never mentioned it being eco friendly. They just mentioned it being made with 85% recycled PVC (unless I'm blind and have missed it).0

Anyone else got this Eco friendly debit card0

Don't know about the "eco friendly" but on the back of mine is printed "Produced with 85% recycled PVC".No doubt when replaced, on expiry, it will be shredded and chucked in the general waste. In my opinion, like many organisations, they are just jumping on the "green" bandwagon to appear virtuous. That's if I'm allowed an opinion?3

And they're not 'eco-friendly'! They're made of plastic. Doesn't matter if it's recycled plastic, it'll still end up being chucked away eventually and be polluting. Only biodegradable cards are eco-friendly. It's utter greenwash to say otherwise..1 -
And they (Santander) can be MUCH more eco-friendly if they stop issuing cards for accounts that don't need them. I applied for their cash ISA recently and had to chose between either linking this account to some other their card I have or getting a new card for this account. As I have no idea how the first option works I had to select the second one although I don't need any card for my ISA.Yes, their so called 'eco-friendly' card will go to general waste without ever being used. Over years I had ISAs with various banks and Santander was and remains the only bank giving a cash card for their ISAs.0
