New Eco Friendly Sanatder UK Debit Cards

It looks like Santander UK has changed its MasterCard Debit card design to match its Euopean Mastercard debit cards as I've just received this one for a card that is expiring at the end of May on one of my Everday Accounts.

The card is produced with 85% recycled PVC and is a portrait design and the card details are on the back, it also reminds me of the card they replaced the Zero credit card with recently.

I actually quite like this card design :-)

I do like this one as well. Much better than most of the other new portrait cards. I do wonder why they didn't go straight to this design though when they launched the Mastercard debits earlier.

Yes I prefer this one myself, though sadly in Apple Pay it’s not this card design.  

Instead it’s this one, which means they probably haven’t updated the digital wallet to the Eco friendly card design yet.

There was a thread about Santander credit cards with the same design but black colour and everyone was saying how awful it is.

Yes I mentioned it in my original post it was the Zero credit card they changed to this design.

They are rolling out the new portrait red cards, which is the point of the thread. The black Santander Zero cards have been out for a while (although currently aren't on sale).

I did try asking Santander this and they couldn't specify who would get which card (e.g. which you would get if you were a new customer vs which you would get if you reported your card missing).
