I've had a good day. It was sunny but cool (windy) and looked as though it might rain so pushed on with the garden. Finally managed to get a row of big (50l) pots along the top of the old raised bed (giving it a bit of a break and means anything that needs tending is at an easy height for me to reach) and used up the remainder of two packs of broad beans. Now have quite a lot of empty tubs so setting up another row in front to grow dwarf beans (might stick some in at mum's as well as they'll be harvested before the bungalow is sold).
Have hoed and swept all the dry soil on the path (in case it rained - it's very dried out atm so easy to get up) and separated out weeds, stones and rubbish, then moved my chair and buckets along to get the next patch. Had spicy bean burgers for lunch with a broad bean, dwarf bean and pea medley + mint sauce. Ate nearly a whole box of my salad mix.
Have done a few bits that didn't take long but will improve things going forward - cutting filters for the machine to size. I had to buy generic ones and couldn't find the pack although I knew I'd packed it for bringing from mum's. I've been coughing and these are specifically for people with hayfever so now I have several cut to the right size and put one in the CPAP and the spare grey filter and washed the one I've been using. A couple of other 'side effects' have also started to improve and I'm feeling a bit bouncier due to extra veg (only feeling, I'm still getting around very cautiously, holding onto anything handy including the clothes line).
Filed some of my papers in one of the new lightweight box files and sorted a couple of drawers. Went to get cash out for my brother and carried on to the pound emporium (HB still being 'refurbished) for antiseptic cream. It was on yesterday's list but had to come home as my knee became really painful. I also have bramble scratches, nettle stings and an horrific looking rash (several patches) where my wellies rubbed the other day. I've done a few 'relaxing' things but seeing floor space appearing (outside) makes me so happy - I knew how I wanted it, it's just that what's 10 minutes work for DS2 has taken me several weeks of shuffling one pot at a time into place.
Grateful for the little robin who's been following me around watching what I was doing in the garden, lovely food, progress.5 -
Glad you're feeling a bit more energetic @grandmanerd. Hugs to all you others who are having a carp day.

A stronger wind today, but still dry. Walked 4.5 miles with DH, finished a brilliant book, then shortened 2 bridesmaid dresses (for different weddings). Did a little weeding, but felt like I was in a wind tunnel & the crumbly soil kept blowing into my eyes! Went round the end of the house & cut up some branches that DH had pruned the other day. All twiggy bits chopped to go into the compost bin, & the thicker bits set to one side to dry out for the fire. Did the ironing & watched more episodes of a BBC1 series set in Notts, where I'm originally from. Enjoyed seeing a place we visited when down there last October, & hearing the accent (though some are a bit dodgy!🤣) 4 days until our schools break up - not that I'm counting 😉
Grateful for good books & programmes, getting bits done, seeing 3 blue butterflies on our walk 😍🦋Use it up, wear it out

No more NSDs so far. Shopping on Saturday and ordered a new tablet for Himself's birthday yesterday. The Boy looked for the best kind for him and we got a good discount on it so I think I'll buy him a cover as well.
Nothing much else happening here. Our schools have broken up for their summer break so I'm expecting a noisy few weeks.
Have a good day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -

Paperwork mountain to attack. Normal? service will be resumed later (today hopefully - I'll need to come up for air). My life isn't normal - it's anti-normal.
I looked for paperwork jokes but they're nearly all about teachers (or visual ones where the avalanche cascades onto the floor). When I delivered the local paper (multiple rounds) one week when I had multiple piles of leaflets to be inserted/ delivered alongside the papers (different requirements for each round, of course, why would they make it simple) the cats entered the room and surfed on the paper piles. See, I've got through worse, I can get through this.5 -
Well parts of the day went well. Even the article on tackling the paper mountain said if everywhere was a mess not to start with paperwork but something needed to be done, so started on dividing and conquering.
Hobby stuff (puzzle books, embroidery patterns, travel brochures, seed catalogues and a few seed packs) in a bag (v big bag)
Health got added later (not a hobby, it's important but not dealing with today important).
Stamps found - put in multi slot thing next to me
Bag for books to be donated
Paper bag (later sack)
Rubbish bag (added to every time another patch of floor cleared)
Stuff to go back to the kitchen - one plate, one box that was full of salad (last bit finished), yoghurt pot, cutlery, new bottle of olive oil
TECH and library books - there will be a day for setting up my digital photo frame, learning to use the ipad thingy etc but not today (library books are ones to guide me through learning how to etc etc etc)
Mask wiped - so if got late in the day and I still hadn't washed it and it was too late for it to dry at all, at least it had been wiped
Box files labelled and part filled - grey one is for grandma's house (rented out) and the grave papers and subsidence report went in.
2pm ate a can of soup
Had found the bus pass forms and photos were to hand so started that. Needed a copy of latest prescription and library closes at 2 so that can't be done until tomorrow am.
Found letter I wrote last week and used the laptop to find the missing half of the postcode. noted in address book for next time.
Checked for doctor's phone number only to find they've reverted to using the one for our original practice
Phone call of course the phone was now buried under all the things I'd looked at since this morning. I could hear it, it was next to me. Found it as they started to phone again. Wellbeing people - they have a new Mindfulness course starting tomorrow and someone had put my name on it (should have gone on waiting list) so she insisted on giving me all the info about what it was and wasn't before allowing me to decide whether I want to start tomorrow or wait, try the taster session and then start in September. So 9.30 am until 11.30 am tomorrow and one hour a day for practice. Decided that carving out one hour a day me time is good. It will end early enough to get ready for the funeral but not sure about fitting in library visit etc (want to check something with the local authority people - tried online but system is down for repairs and upgrading - it said the 30th but unavailable today). Found myself wishing for beloved old typewriter so I could have everything typed up and just go and ask for 2 photocopies.
4 pm went shopping for a couple of bits I need for small tasks.
Several small files started. One for photos. Put the latest batch in one of the drawers but didn't want to go back and forth with odd ones so have a wallet file for any I come across and will add them to the pile when I've been through everything. One wallet for things I already have files for (like receipts guarantees and instructions) but again not going back and forth with individual items - will file when all gathered up. Found places for some of the files where I can easily see their labels. Found places for 5 assorted cardboard boxes - small to medium that were in the wardrobe. Cleared 2 surfaces and now have only a few items on them. Pile of tbr books. Two sides of the floor completely clear (one side is wall and the final side would need me to climb onto the bed and off again and I'm not bendy enough today - used my bendy allowance on the downstairs curtains)
Two towels and a bathmat are drying on the line. Think I might do an hour sorting into action file, store and do whenever I have a bit of spare time (mainly addresses, web addresses and rough notes from clutter clearing videos etc) then try for an early night and an early start tomorrow, see what I can do before I need to be in a comfy chair with a blanket and my sultanas.
Grateful for progress and a tidier room, starting mindfulness tomorrow, having room to put my clothes in the wardrobe (was blocked before), tiny grapes (delicious) and stationery (thought I'd gone a bit overboard but apparently stationery can be very helpful with mindfulness and self-care).

Thankful that work was quieter today now that our big event is over for another year.Mum picked up DS around 12pm and then went to collect school shoes I’d ordered for him online, and a duvet set I’d ordered for us going to family caravan next week.Although they were spends, I’m quite pleased with the discount I got on them because of sales and finding voucher codes. Shoes were £12 so I bought a pair in his current size and another one size up. And I bought the duvet set in the DunDunDun-elm sale for £8. It means we can take it back and forth saving OH’s parents the job of washing more sheets. Mum also gave me an old bedsheet and two pillowcases. Two young women forced to flee the crisis in Ukraine have moved in with my neighbour. I felt like a superwoman today after rushing out my house to help them lock the door. They didn’t know that you’ve to push up the handle before turning the key. One speaks a tiny amount of English and the other none but I’m thinking of inviting them in for a tea or coffee one day.Grateful today for a warm windy day drying my sheets, for Mum collecting my purchases, and for a calmer work day.

Well done on the weight loss @beanielou.
Good on you @ldee2111, they'll appreciate your help & I'm sure would love to come over for a cuppa! Make sure you don't start wearing your pants on top of your tights/trousers now you're Superwoman 😉

A gorgeous sunny day here up north. I put on a summer dress that I've had for years but never worn. Received some nice compliments, plus a couple about my white legs 😂
Work went well, a very sincere apology from the pupil, said he knows I haven't forgiven him but he's very sorry anyway. It helps a little. Had my first finger injury to deal with as a first aider, thought it was definitely dislocated or broken. I felt brave & pleased that I didn't pass out!
Delivered the two different bridesmaid dresses after work. Decided to walk to save fuel & get more steps in. Unpicked a trouser zip before tea, then my brother phoned afterwards. Got the zip replaced, but ran out of time to shorten a pair of trousers, so will have to do them tomorrow night.
Grateful that I realised TV progs had swapped channels, so I could watch episode 5 (though I was recording it, if it realised it was on BBC2 instead), it being warm enough for bare arms & legs outside, feedback from teacher re: message that went home on FridayUse it up, wear it out
