Trouble is BC have so many different cards - if you want the new Rewards card you can switch to it on the mobile app, obviously you'll lose the benefits (if any) of your current card.older_and_no_wiser said:
It's a Freedom Rewards card. I got it around 4 years ago.zagfles said:older_and_no_wiser said:Just checked my credit card statement and I was charged for using my Barclaycard Rewards card in Turkey a couple of weeks ago. I only used it for 2 purchases in Turkish Lira and got charged a "Non sterling transaction fee" for each one:
29p for a £10.14 transaction
£1.76 for a £60.77 transaction
So it looks like the 2.99% foreign transaction fee on their Ts and Cs is being enforced. You've been warned! ;-)Exactly which card is it? When did you first get it? The current BC Rewards has no forex transaction fees, I've used it in the last week and not been charged a fee. See https://www.barclaycard.co.uk/personal/credit-cards/barclaycard-rewardsDoes it look like that? Or is the old Cashback card, or the old Travel card which had a temporary 0% forex fee which expired last year? What does your statement say in the Summary Box near the end under "Foreign usage"?
It does state 2.99% fee for foreign usage and cash fee of 2.99% on the statement. I obviously have a different card than the rewards card others are saying is fee free abroad.

Too many cards is indeed the problem - and the fact that Barclaycard send a generic "one size fits all" leaflet on fees etc. to all customers, including the Reward card which incurs no such charges abroad.zagfles said:
