I have a BarclayCard Cashback Rewards and this does charge fees.  The Barclay card Rewards one apparently does not but of course you can only hold one barclaycard at a time.  Too late for me I am off next Tuesday.  Cheers
Well. I have a "Barclaycard Rewards" card, which both gives me cashback and doesn't charge me any fees.  I don't recognise the name "Barclaycard Cashback Rewards" and it isn't mentioned at https://www.barclaycard.co.uk/personal/credit-cards/rewards-credit-cards.

Out of interest, I've just had to obtain a replacement card (was faulty) just before I went abroad; the T&C paperwork which came with the new card specified a 2.99% fee on all foreign transactions, and I received a message from Barclaycard notifying me of the same.   Worried, I queried Barclaycard via the app while abroad, and they confirmed I was still on the zero fees deal, and I've just received my latest statement since arriving home, confirming I've been not been charged any extra.

Barclaycard have been confusing card holders with that 2.99% fee condition for quite a while - it does not apply to your Rewards card.

Same here. I'm about to go to Turkey and have a Chase card and Barclaycard Rewards card. I'd prefer to use the Barclaycard for purchases but my Ts and Cs in the app state 2.99% fee on non sterling transactions. Sounds like I can just ignore that and I should get a similar conversion/cost rate as the Chase card.

Can't comment on exchange rates - but your Barclaycard Rewards credit card is fee free, ideal for goods and services.
Also for ATM withdrawals as long as you pay the next statement balance in full when its due for settlement.
Chase is a top choice for both ATMs and purchases.
Remember however that the fee free benefit may not apply to usage of the ATM -  owner banks may be charging for that facility, your UK card issuer has no contol over that.
We have not been to Turkey in recent years, maybe other punters hereabouts have more recent experience of the cash withdrawal scenario there ?
Of course, always chose to pay in local currency, not GBP, when prompted - the without conversion option.
    Have a good holiday.

I was there around the beginning of this year. Most ATMs charged fees, and warned you about these before the transaction was final. However, if you had the patience to hunt around you could always find one that was fee-free.

I'm just back from Turkey. You're right about the ATMs. I found that ING was the only one that didn't charge a fee - and I tried plenty!

Just checked my credit card statement and I was charged for using my Barclaycard Rewards card in Turkey a couple of weeks ago. I only used it for 2 purchases in Turkish Lira and got charged a "Non sterling transaction fee" for each one:

    29p for a £10.14 transaction
    £1.76 for a £60.77 transaction

So it looks like the 2.99% foreign transaction fee on their Ts and Cs is being enforced. You've been warned! ;-)

Exactly which card is it? When did you first get it? The current BC Rewards has no forex transaction fees, I've used it in the last week and not been charged a fee. See https://www.barclaycard.co.uk/personal/credit-cards/barclaycard-rewards
Does it look like that? Or is the old Cashback card, or the old Travel card which had a temporary 0% forex fee which expired last year? What does your statement say in the Summary Box near the end under "Foreign usage"?

Disagree - no charges for me at the ATM in Cyprus ...
€310 @ 1.15 exchange rate (exactly the same as I got on my legacy 'no charges' Nationwide card)

It's a Freedom Rewards card. I got it around 4 years ago.

It does state 2.99% fee for foreign usage and cash fee of 2.99% on the statement. I obviously have a different card than the rewards card others are saying is fee free abroad.
