Out of interest, I've just had to obtain a replacement card (was faulty) just before I went abroad; the T&C paperwork which came with the new card specified a 2.99% fee on all foreign transactions, and I received a message from Barclaycard notifying me of the same. Worried, I queried Barclaycard via the app while abroad, and they confirmed I was still on the zero fees deal, and I've just received my latest statement since arriving home, confirming I've been not been charged any extra.1 -
Barclaycard have been confusing card holders with that 2.99% fee condition for quite a while - it does not apply to your Rewards card.

Just checked my credit card statement and I was charged for using my Barclaycard Rewards card in Turkey a couple of weeks ago. I only used it for 2 purchases in Turkish Lira and got charged a "Non sterling transaction fee" for each one:
29p for a £10.14 transaction
£1.76 for a £60.77 transaction
So it looks like the 2.99% foreign transaction fee on their Ts and Cs is being enforced. You've been warned! ;-)

The current BC Rewards has no forex transaction fees, I've used it in the last week and not been charged a fee. See https://www.barclaycard.co.uk/personal/credit-cards/barclaycard-rewardsDoes it look like that? Or is the old Cashback card, or the old Travel card which had a temporary 0% forex fee which expired last year? What does your statement say in the Summary Box near the end under "Foreign usage"?

It does state 2.99% fee for foreign usage and cash fee of 2.99% on the statement. I obviously have a different card than the rewards card others are saying is fee free abroad.0
