State pension

Hello, I am 66  on the 25th may, i received my award letter on the 21st of may, i am living in Thailand but my uk state pension is paid into my uk bank account. 2 things i wish to ask help with: 1st why are they starting my payment from the 22nd of may when my S.P.A is 25th may. 2nd why are there no dates of when any part payment or full payment will be made so i can tell when i will receive my 1st full payment 4 wks later or is this my mistake maybe they do not give/show dates?. The other state pension i received from Guernsey for 16yrs was so much easier and clearer giving all due payment dates in detail.
Thank you

The 22nd May is (or rather was) a Sunday.  Are you sure of the dates?  The 22nd June is 5 weeks after your birthday. which is when you might expect to get your first payment.

That letter suggests to me that they think your birthday is 22nd.   Did you get a previous forecast ?  If so what date did that put as start date ?

Hi, All prev forecasts on the gateway site are correct as are my D.O.B details.
They must know my correct D.O.B from my N.I number and all other details they have on me.
    Thanks

I suspect the date is a typo and they actually meant 25 May 2022 which is your birthday (22/05/2022 vs 25/05/2022 - lots of 2's and 5's in there). These letters are often generated manually from a template and the person enters the names and dates manually. Easy to make a mistake when doing dozens of these every day. If it is a simple typo, it will not affect the actual start date of your pension.

I can't find anywhere on my GG account that shows my DOB.
Are your previous forecasts giving 22nd or 25th as pension start date ?
If they give 25th then, as suggested above, it is just a typo.

Your birthday date is on the first page telling you the date you will get your pension. This is my pension date.

You can get your State Pension on 25 May 2022

    From GG site.

I may have to phone them again.

That date is the date you get your SP and not necessarily your birthday, my birthday is April and my SP date was correctly November.
Anyway, it seems the start date on the computer is correct so the letter is likely a human error.
