  • The plans for the end of this month (once I know how much I've earned) includes a percentage for Dad Care. So whatever goes into that can be spent on Dad. Although hard to restrain a budget for that really.
I was listening briefly to Michael Mosley's Just One Thing where he was talking about cutting down on sugar and suggested fruit instead. So I figure that is what I will eat when have got the munchies/bored eating/teacup stressing me. Some sort of plan for eating would also help 🤣🤣🤣
I have left it a bit late Cherry as her birthday is tomorrow. She doesn't have a 5.5mm hook and has all the rest. I really like the sound of those light up ones though, I might get those just a bit late.

If you order today you can say you are waiting for delivery. :) I got the USB rechargable ones rather than battery operated because that works for me and besides if I'm on a return journey from a day out and it's too dark for normal crochet (which usually happens), I can plug in and be recharged off the car or train's USB socket!

I must have a listen to the Just One Thing on sugar: I've heard some of his before and found them thought provoking.

  • I did not get to the end of it Cherry as Dad decided he had had enough of it 🤣🤣🤣 I mostly just decided to eat fruit. And somehow a 5 pk of creme eggs fell into my hand in aldi.
Have bought teacup light up crochet hooks. With the voucher my brother bought me for my birthday so mwah ha ha. I also bought alcohol markers because apparently I am hoarding art supplies now.
In the bath having eaten 2 creme eggs.

Love the idea of being in the bath eating creme eggs

    Glad you sorted the present.

Art supplies - always in need

  • I think I need a cheaper hobby SH, the 'proper' art stuff I was looking at was all over 50 euro!!?!

There is frost outside. Have just turned on the heater in Dad's room from upstairs. I love the smart plug.

I have not been taking dad out for his walks and it has made a difference. 9 lbs of different. 5lbs of which is Christmas pudding. This is why we shouldn't have one off holidays. If we had Xmas pud all year round then I wouldn't binge in December. Ahem.

Teacups birthday today so I am on dad duty all day. Or until 7pm when the carer arrives.
I may do some sewing to keep my hands occupied find it hard to concentrate with dad's music on.
  • Dad has deigned to fall asleep to the football after a morning of being shoved full of over the counter medicine. I am inclined to think of football as being chavvy racehorses but at the moment I am just grateful for the rest.
And the opportunity to do something else.
Sadly the overpaid racehorses finished so dad and I went out for a walk. Decided to go the work off the creme eggs way. And then the buy dad a coffee to shut him up way. To be fair to him it is icy out and he was frozen when he got home.
E7 spent at the coffee shop which was a coffee, herbal tea and a cookie. Cheap for Dublin but not in budget 🤦‍♀️

  • I seem to spend more time organizing these than using them.

Perhaps you could set yourself a challenge to use it at least once a week and post a photo of your creation somewhere for accountability... And just because they are fun to look at.

  • My thinking was to write down what I have and then what I want to learn to do with them. Problem being by break time all I want to do is lie down.
Tried to find a sleep emoji but there are far too many for my limited emotional palette.
Have told myself that I can't have a creme egg until after 10am. The creme egg yardarm.
Put soup in the pressure cooker. As many random veg from the freezer as would fit. Too lazy to chop potatoes so put in the end of a bag of chips 🤦‍♀️ At least there will be veg in my diet today. Unless the soup tastes horrible 🤣🤣🤣
Tried to make a sweet potato and quinoa porridge for breakfast the other day and had to throw it out as it tasted fermented 🤷
Going to work out a schedule that means I can go to the gym at least once a week. In the morning. Before I turn into a creme egg
  • Dad happily learning telling the time in Welsh.
Inspired by another diary I looked up Lebanese food. They seem to be good on finger foods. Made something called kibbeh which is meat wrapped in meat. My kind of foodstuff.
Back to work today for 3 whole hours. Inadvertently weaponised the children just before I was due to leave. I'm not entirely sure that I'm on the right side of grown up.
