You'll get through this - and until then it's okay to feel what you feel.

I bet you wish for just a simple quiet night out occasionally Emma! I get the apologising but always remember you’re only responsible for your own behaviour.

Your son will come round and be fine with you Emma. He’s been taking the easier option by staying with his Dad, rather than what’s actually best for him.

Well done with the finances Emma. Clearly your  hard work is paying off.
My guess is that your partner’s daughter sees you as a kind of a threat.
All you can control is your own behaviour.

Glad that things are going better. Well done on the £ left in the bank. It will hopefully lift your spirits to have more functional furniture again too.

Sorry about the tutoring. Were you able to get any feedback? Did they have any suggestions on how you can fill the gap?

Sorry your OH's family is difficult.

That’s a lot of money to lose with zero notice Emma. What a kick in the teeth.
You can take a positive from all of the recent debt repayments you have made.

As for your partner’s family. It makes sense for you to keep away from them as much as you can if they can’t be civil. Would be nice if your partner could be a bit more supportive of you

On the face of it there are some positives there Emma. A nice quick turnaround with the new work, which more than offsets the rent increase.
You are getting somewhere with your debt, even if you still have a way to go.
Kind of your OH to take you out - shows you he cares. Also, your daughter liking what you’ve done to your room is quite a compliment. Teenagers being impressed by anything their parents do is not a regular occurrence!
Rumour has it that my teenager actually has a floor under all the junk in her room. “Don’t come in. Don’t come in!” she shouts if we go anywhere near her room. Only time I venture in is to turn the light off when she’s gone out and left it on again.
