  • It's difficult when one of you in business partnership take it more seriously than the other. But I do agree you need to start pushing back more and expecting more from her if she is going to take 50% of everything.

  • Hope you really enjoyed your Sunday off, have read through your diary and you have made an impressive dent in debts in a short amount of time. Keep putting your boundaries in place and hopefully overtime, people will start to realise they cannot push you around. Keep up the amazing work!

Join the gym, it is money well spent . Think of it as an investment for your health. I pay £90 a month for gym membership, an extortionate amount but worth every penny. I don’t actually use the gym but do 10 classes a week. Apart from the endorphins the fact you are exercising with like minded people is a real boost. Over the years I have made many friends.

I know a lot of people do online classes, go running etc. but this is done in isolation. Obviously during Covid the classes moved online which were a life saver but now things are back to studio classes you realise how much the interaction with others face to face has a beneficial effect.

Over time you will reap the benefits both physically and mentally and it will be £51 well spent. Good luck.

Dear @[Deleted User].  Just popping in to remind you of what you already know - your health is the most important thing.  If you feel you need to invest some time and money in keeping well, please do so.  You can't pour from an empty pot.  It sounds to me as if you have been giving 100% of yourself to paying off debts and this isn't sustainable in the long term.  Investing in your health is just as important for a secure future.

In my experience, people need to be told directly when help is needed.  Most of us are preoccupied with getting through our own lives and don't pick up on any subtle (or even unsubtle) signals in others.  Find someone you can confide in and talk to - family, friends, a charity or support service.

You have done amazingly well.  Be proud of what you have achieved and know that this low will pass. You are a strong and successful woman and all strong and successful women need a little support sometimes.

    Fortune x

    Morning Emma,

Black dog is the absolute pits, don't worry about what people on here think or percieve, we all have those dark times when life just feels like we are walking through treacle. As Lucielle suggested the doc may be able to help. Whether this is helpful or not but sometimes I just feel for myself I just have to embrace the dark days and go through it to get  to the other side.

Sending lots of healing vibes and do what you need to do x

Edit: So sorry Emma regarding your Sisters FIL, thats a toughie to deal with on top of family & work pressures. Keep pushing forward - you have and are making great strides with the money situation.

  • Funeral is booked for a couple of weeks. My mum has told me not to go as I have to cancel all my work that day and won't get paid. Not sure I could do that and so won't. I want to be there.

Found out today that a secondhand store/antique shop was closing and everything was free. I went down and filled up my boot and back seat. I'm going to go through everything and see if there is any money to be made. If not then it will have to go in the bin. I'm a hoarder and my collecting gets worse when I'm feeling low. Not sure why that is. I'm sure somebody somewhere will know.

Work has cancelled today (5 hours). I still get paid for four of them and had big plans on sorting out the house. Instead I went and collected more things to clutter it up. I did find a nice Radley Keyring and so shall gift that to my mum.

I also got an Antler suitcase (newish) and so I'll put that in the loft for when I might need it.

Vinted sales have stalled but that's probably because I haven't put any effort into listing things. I'll try again tonight.

I can't face trick or treaters at the door tonight,  it makes me stressed having to make small talk and so if I'm home I'm going to turn the lights out and hide. Is that really bad of me when I was once that parent knocking on doors with my children?
