Thank you - after sending the questionnaire - would I still be given an opportunity to a mediation?
You might, but the wisdom here is that you would be wasting your time with mediation.

Update; the forum is great and I spent half a day reading it today, but can get lost with different links. Thank you for all your help and responding to my posts  <3
So you're saying that you are prepared to pay something to the scammers?  Are you serious?  Are we on the same page as you?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I am only prepared as I have a weak case. Furthermore, my understanding is the costs will be less after mediation than after a loss...

Only if the claimant agrees. How much do you think they'll want?

  • Probably the whole amount. But since there's mediation am guessing there would be some flexibility

What do you mean? I'd have been more confident had my defence been stronger.

Why not to do mediation is covered in the section of the NEWBIES thread I advised you should read.

It's just that PPCs want their whole pound of flesh, regardless of the strength (or otherwise) of the Defendant's case. Experience from hundreds of cases has cemented our advice that mediation isn't for the Defendant in private parking cases. But happy to be proved wrong when you 'succeed' at mediation, whatever your measure of 'success' is.
