Some of the people on this forum have been advising on the parking ticket scams for years and have been party to advising the government on the new Code of Practice.

On the other hand you have been a member of MSE since Dec 2021 and this is your first post on this forum. Whilst you are entitled to an opinion I would suggest your knowledge is not as great as you might think it is and the OP might want to check what contributions you have previously provided that would suggest you 'know what you are talking about'.

    OP
I'd not waste my time as the rules are clear.
I'd be shocked if they caved in.
However, good luck if you get away with it.

Do you actually know what forum you are on good grief how ill informed are you!
There is only one "ill informed" poster here and that is not me.

The way I read it that the 4 hours was per car and not per person. Now, if the OP
wants to waste their time, they are free to do that. I only shared my opinion just like everyone else and nothing more or less for that matter.

You are a laugh a minute aren't you!
Then how does a PPC that does not rely on the POFA bill  "a car"?

As a very belated update to this a county court claim form dropped through the letter box last week. We’ll be defending a claim of a few quid short of £500 😳. Defence on the basis of poor signage and pretty much illegible t&c’s.

I’ve seen the thread on a template defence and will be following it. I’m certainly not intimated by the fight. This is more for info that Met/CST Law are prepared to go down the legal route.

Yes we know. Loads of threads like this. All dead easy to defend using the hharry version of defence wording including CEL v Chan.

Please show us the bottom half of the claim form with the MCOL password & your VRM covered.

What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?
  • £500 for one PCN? I would suggest they are trying to scare you into paying.

Perhaps you could show  a suitably redacted copy of the claim form including exactly what the particulars state.

This is beautifully mendacious as it turns out. Dated 7th Dec which requires a response by Boxing Day.

It relates to 2 ‘offences ‘ at £100 each plus £70 admin fee each plus interest, court costs, solicitors fee.

Will post the pic of my claim form when I get in. Sorely tempted to stump up £50 and claim a £10 admin fee per threatening letter we’ve received. I’ve kept them all.

What?? My question is mendacious? Surely not?

With a Claim Issue Date of 7th December, you have until Thursday 28th December to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 9th January 2024 to file your Defence.
That's over three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

What do you mean, a counterclaim?

Is the named Defendant your company?

Did you warn the Claimant ages ago that your company would charge a tenner for handling each letter?
