Cash machine (other than Barclays) that allow you to choose denomination of notes (withdrawing)

Hi, when I use the Barclays machine in branch to withdraw from my account I can choose what denomination of notes I want to withdraw - 5's, 10's, 20's & 50's available, so I can choose what suits me best. Other machines I've used just spit out random notes. Unfortunately my local Barcalys is now closing - does anyone know of other banks/building societies whose machines allow you to choose the notes making up your withdrawal. Banks local to me are NatWest, Santander and HSBC so especially interested in those. Thanks

I have used machines operated by all three of the banks that you name. None has ever given me the option to choose the denominations of notes dispensed. I've always been entirely dependent on the notes that have been loaded into the machines.

Having said that, a couple of the local machines - one HSBC and one NatWest - do aften seem to have £5 notes, and give me a couple of those with £10 ones making up the balance of my withdrawal. But other machines at the same branches don't.

NatWest have a sticker on the ATMs that dispense £50 notes so you can at least avoid or choose to get these to some extent.

Thank you both - it's a shame more atms don't allow you to choose what notes you want.

If you draw cash out at your local post office you can ask for whatever denomination you like.

You can filter for machines which dispense £5 notes on the Link ATM finder https://www.link.co.uk/consumers/locator/

They aren't cash machines; they're automated replacements for human counter based transactions.

You need to go into a branch or use the Post Office.

Only time I use cash recently is for my semi-regular £12 haircut.  And the don't care what denomination of notes I use.

They might not be too happy with a £50 note!

...or with the £1 notes that would be needed to pay £12 with notes 🤣

Never seen a machine that lets you choose but I do know that one of the Lloyds machine in my town gives out £5 notes and has a sticker on stating so. It usually gives out e.g. a £30 withdrawal will be 2x£10 and 2x£5.
