This is a side effect of the way the forum is constructed.

For a newbie it's just overwhelming. Stickied threads are full of people unintentionally butting in.

Why is the template defence 7 pages long?

I think that if enough concerned people reported post 3 onwards in the defence template thread ( which I did some time ago but nothing happened  )  asking for it to be split after post 2 into an archive thread,  same as happens to the newbies sticky thread too, then keeping them both shorter with no extras would help everyone,  especially newbies

Same applies to the tally thread by Umkomaas,  too many repeated rants that aren't needed in a tally thread, IMHO

I believe that board guides could split or merge threads, not just admins, on other forums moderators   ( board guides   ) have that option, so doesn't matter who does it, as long as its tidied up, because admins are busy running the whole website etc, not just a single forum , every forum has board guides here  , IMHO

    Hello,

Just thought I would let you know that I have submitted my defence, the 11 paragraph smart parking one, via MCOL just now, the defence fit perfectly into the 122 line space they provide. I definitely pressed the submit button and it looks like my defence has been registered.

I think I am up to step 3 of this 8 step process as outlined by @Coupon-mad

Fingers crossed this bloody parking ticket goes away soon! Three and a half years they've hounded me. I should have put a counterclaim in for harassment!

You wouldn't achieve anything trying for harassment,  it would have cost you £35 that you wouldn't get back

Court claim cases typically last from 6 to 12 months,  so this wont be over until spring or summer 2026, so strap in

    Hiya,

So far I am am up to step 3 of 8 on couponmad's list - I have received the generic email telling me that they are still going to proceed with an attached Claimant's Directions Questionnaire on the 5/01/26. How long about does it take for me to receive my questionnaire - I thought I would have received it by now and I'm paranoid it will get lost in my junk and thereby mess up everything I've done so far.

Nothing is emailed by the court.

The later Mediation call invite comes by email. But that's separate from the court.

Download it, fill it in and email it to the DQ email address

No pictures, no scans, no posting it

  • Downloaded it, filled it in and emailed to both the court and DCB legal.
