I've just recieved it so no havnt acknowledged it yet! I know what the timelines and deadlines are. You do deal with the claim by writing your defence on the form or on the online form.... ive been both claimant and defence in small claims court before. I just want some help if any specific wording I should use

Sorry if I sounded curt, but to be fair so did you. I know there is lots of expertise on here with how to write the defense for a parking ticket claim and I just want to know if it should be written the same way as my original defence or different wording now

Sorry if I sounded curt, but to be fair so did you. I know there is lots of expertise on here with how to write the defense for a parking ticket claim and I just want to know if it should be written the same way as my original defence or different wording now

It is a shame that you have lost Umkomaas, he is one of the forum regulars who spends hours every day helping people on this forum.

I suggest you re read his post (the one that upset you), as it contains the answer to your question about wording. As a side line, it is also not curt. It is factual.

The advice on this forum is not to put your defence on the court form, either online or in the post. The reason is that it is charater limited. You have asked for advice, and when provided with it, you have rejected it, and taken umbridge. This forum gives you a template defence to use (with the correct "legal wording"), for you to make minor amends to para 2 & 3. That is the forum's recommendation.

He could have just said that , as you did. He was patronising.  I also cannot ever find the links he mentions. I'm on a smartphone and it's really hard to find your way around. Months ago I finally found the newbies thread after loads of searching but I cant even find that again. I'm confused why I woukdnt put my defence on the form if it fits? But I get it probably needs wording better. My original appeal to the ticket was done with a template, I'm asking if I would use same template or if there has been better outcomes with other wording tried and tested. This forum ie finding things, finding different threads etc, is really not very user friendly especially if you not very tech savvy, so when it's stated so abruptly it isn't very helpful

I'm out at moment but I recoeved the court claim papers at start of week. After adding the 5 days on for service date I think I have just over a week to respond and acknowledge

If you received 'the court papers' at the start of this week, then I would suggest you have a lot longer than one week left to file a Defence.

Please tell us the Issue Date on your County Court Claim Form.

A properly written comprehensive Defence simply will not fit in the box on a form.

A properly written comprehensive Defence simply will not fit in the box on a form.

The defence is the most important document that you will write and it's not something that you can write in a few sentences on a form.

From memory( as I'm still out)  it gives 14 days to reply from service date and it says service date is 5 days from date on the actual papers.  
The point about the defense is what I was asking..... do I say the same as I said in original defense? Or should I word it different
