American fridge/freezer -What depth for wall unit over the top?

This is entirely your call, Sis'. If you already have the FF, then stand back and look at it - visualise where a unit would/should hover above it.The FF won't be hemmed in; it'll have base units - presumably 600mm deep - to its right, and what I'm guessing is a shallower? chimney breast to its left.On the wall, it'll have standard-depth (~350mm-ish) wall units coming up from the RH, and I presume these will be 'tall', going close to the ceiling - ie noticeably taller than the FF. Being only 350mm deep, these wall units won't in the least encroach on the FF. Then this bespoke wall unit will follow the same top line as the other wall units, but being around 100mm (or whatever are the requirements) above the FF to leave that vent gap.Width-wise, it'll be whatever is required to fill the gap between the last wall/base unit, and the chimney breast; don't make it the FF width, but fill that gap. The FF will then sit central to it, with an even gap either side. This unit will need to be securely fixed to the wall, as there will be more leverage on it being more sticky-outy, but it'll also be attached to the wall units to its right, and the 'breast to the left, so should be very secure.Personally, I think having this unit's fascia pretty-much flush with that of the FF will look 'correct'. It will clearly look designed and bespoke, and not in any way a bodge.Parts of the sides of this unit will be visible (just like the other end wall unit's), so that will need colour-coordinating.One other thing, Sis' - pleeeeez post pics when it's done :-)0

Remember the doors of the unit will sit proud of the space in order to open to maximum capacity.
I'm not sure if 'having units made' meant 'bespoke'? If it is build-from-scratch, what do you think about this unit's preferred depth, Rosa - 600 or 700mm?Initial mortgage bal £487.5k, current £258k, target £243,750(halfway!)

Should get a quote in a week or so. They have a job to finish in 3 weeks and they hope mine can be completed by end of June. Will see if they will meet those time scales. XInitial mortgage bal £487.5k, current £258k, target £243,750(halfway!)

I'm not sure if 'having units made' meant 'bespoke'? If it is build-from-scratch, what do you think about this unit's preferred depth, Rosa - 600 or 700mm?No man is worth crawling on this earth.
