    Sounds like because you wouldn't give in and sell back to them they are now using solicitors and vexatious allegations to get back at you. Out of interest have you told the sister about this letter? She could be an ally as she'll know if it's true.

    I have no idea when the perfectly serviceable "pouffe" became footstool. I'd suggest referring to this thread as the "pouffe in the loft" or "buried pouffe" for reference.

    I would always be tempted when a solicitor's spurious letter arrives to make a single reply "I refer you to the reply given in Arkell and Pressdram" and ignore further correspondence.
    Ah, Arkell v Pressdram, Over 50 years old and it still makes me laugh.

    Can't be long before Steven Spielberg starts to show interest in this gripping narrative.
