Definitely no to accepting deliveries 2 weeks after completion. On the mail front I would tell them politely that following the call from their brother you will no longer take care of the mail and be marking it RTS so they need to redirect it by the end of the week.

I agree, you have only just moved in and need to focus on yourselves.  After 14 months here my vendor has texted to say Ticketmaster have sent her tickets here by mistake.  I'm feeling quite anxious about them arriving and sending them on to her, not sure what or when the show is.

Well today we had a visit from 2 doors down. They were very lovely and brought us a little hamper of wine and treats. No mention was made of yesterday’s debacle, but I got a definite sense that they were sympathetic. They repeatedly told us to shout if we ever need anything. All in all, we feel less mortified about the scene that played out on our driveway.

I now have a new quandary about their mail. It’s been almost 2 weeks since we completed and we’re still getting letters and the odd parcel for them. They asked that we post them through next door, ordinarily I’d give them a bit of time to sort themselves out, but I’m thinking this might be the time to ‘RTS - not at this address’? I don’t want to make things worse but I feel we need to put distance between us. Is that reasonable? I’m doubting my judgement.
Careful......it could a ruse to make drop your guard and before you know it its back to square one again, with previous owners knocking on your door, the brother climbing over your back fence to dig the garden up and the sister sniggering behind the net curtains
So are you suggesting others in the street are also full of evil intent and engaged in subterfuge? Sounds like the sort of thing I hoped might happen to the OP, who deserves a bit of good fortune now.

Some people really take the proverbial! It seems previous vendors expect you to be their PA’s as well!

I have previously paid for re direction and receive no post from previous address As Really if you have notified everyone they should be using correct address anyway. You dont want Debt Collection people for them on your doorstep.  If you give post to sister you run the risk of this and would be better to mark enevelope Not known At this address Return to Sender To let organisations know. We got calls on landline phone for someone else for over 5 years Where we had to say Not their number

As the sister lives next door, and you need to keep things as civil as possible, I would tell the sister that you'll pass mail to her for one month, to be sure that their mail re-direction service is fully operational.  But after that you will RTS .
That would be my suggestion as well. Good balance between keeping things relatively cordial and still giving a clear cut off point.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

It takes 5 working days to set up, a fortnight is more than enough. The sister will either be ignoring her brother, which given she is away for a few weeks entirely possible, or in the OPs face every day. No need to be rude but time to start being assertive
