Woohoo, well done @ditty1234!
NSD#12
Didn't have a great start to the day, after the pan of pasta I'd cooked for my packed lunch today & tomorrow, fell into the sink 😓 no time to cook any more, so cobbled together a toasty instead.
A good day at work. Rained most of the day, but had stopped when I got home. Packaged up another eboy sale, put some things out in the shed, then picked some seed heads off the trillions of dandelions in the garden. I plan to leave some for the bees.
Watched a programme with DS1, then replaced the zip in a dress. Off to bed now to catch up on what I missed last night, when DS2 decided to start tidying his bedroom at stupid o'clock!
Grateful for time to do bits of a jigsaw, the big sewing frog being collected, hearing birdsong when I was sewingUse it up, wear it out

Home and Me - Well, yesterday was a bit of a write off. My eyes were itching so much I just couldn't concentrate on anything. I've been using the wipes and the swelling seems to have gone down a bit. I will try to get an appointment with the optician in case it's something to do with the glasses, Dawn, but that's almost as bad as trying to get one with the doctor! Continuing with the wipes and removing glasses when possible but I can't see well without them. If it hasn't improved any more by tomorrow I'll go to the pharmacy pending an appointment with the optician. I've forgotten to take something out of the freezer for dinner so it's going to be pot luck tonight. Himself is still in bed but won't be for long - workmen have just arrived and started digging up the road. They seem to be continually digging up that particular piece and I can't see why. I suppose it makes sense to them.
I'm off to have another cup of coffee and we'll see what today brings.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4 -
I lost a lb!! I have stuck to the plan, lost absolutely nothing for a week, then today it finally registered, so for those of us Turtles aiming for a sleeker, more streamlined shell, keep on keeping on. It will show up eventually.Seem to be making a bit of progress on s/gran's affairs, it is the week before payday, and there is still food in the house, money in the budget, and only 3 more morning school runs before half term, when suddenly my kids will be able to get up at 6am unprompted.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Well done f0xh0les. I cut my own toenails yesterday - all in one go, so I think I am losing weight. And I've slept in the middle of my bed instead of on the edge.
My morning disappeared. I woke early 4am something, after a while I gave in and started taking pills etc (morning routine), finished the salad I had for my evening meal. Started to feel sleepy around 7.30 and woke several hours later . Remembered I had parcels being delivered so scrambled to get ready, then found that DS3 was already downstairs and had taken the parcel in (I have no idea what their sleeping patterns are like, hardly seen them for days).
I'd taken the laptop, books to read and lots of papers to sort with me so sat down and made a start. Was ordering something online and realised the pinsentry was upstairs so up and down again. Waited until laptop was fully charged before dragging myself up. Have taken lots of stuff out to the bins, collected dry washing from the line and the dryer (wasn't me) and brought that upstairs. Had to ask Beloved to bring the rest of the bag upstairs (and she kindly asked about drinks so brought those as well). Ds3 did the meter readings earlier, so I've submitted those.
Yesterday the Welfare rights team got in touch to offer me a 'squeezed in' appointment to help with my PIP form - on 6th June when I'll be at ex-OH's funeral, no availability until July otherwise. So I'll get it done and have a phone number if I get stuck. Had a letter from the Social Services about the house inspection (early intervention I think it's called) and they have a backlog and it's likely to be 16 weeks (mid-September) before they get to me. So that's a target for sorting the house and getting those two a bit better trained (hah).
So I never got back to introduce some more inspiration. I had in mind to do some food as medicine posts but think it's a bit late in the month for that - if anyone would like more on any aspect of the challenge or struggling with life, let me know. Will have a quick look and see what serendipity throws up.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -

Celebrate your small accomplishments
Got out of bed
Brushed my teeth
Had a shower
Cooked a nice meal
Went for a little walk
Cleaned a little
(Sketches in stillness)
Keep close to nature's heart ......and break clear away once in a while
And climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods
Wash your spirit clean

SERENDIPITY
the effect by which one stumbles upon something truly wonderful, especially while looking for something entirely unrelated
When love feels like magic, it's called destiny;
when destiny has a sense of humour, it's called serendipity.

Evening turtles
I acheived a NSD yesterday. My car tyre pressure has been going down so i can't drive anywhere. Managed to get my car into the garage today and it was a screw in the tyre . They fixed if FOC and cleaned my car too - result! I have a service plan so that's one of the benefitsHad to have a long lunch to get it sorted but i went to the library while i waited and then sat reading for 10 minutes at the garage.
I'm still ploughing through my other jobs each evening, it's getting me down a bit but I'm glad of the chance to earn extra money and it won't be forever. A friend has been accepted for redundancy, is selling her house and travelling the UK in a campervan - gosh i'm so envious! But i shall keep plodding on with work and overpaying my mortgage and one day i can live my dreams too (i hope). In the meantime, i'd best get on with some of my PT work !!
Gratitudes - flexibility in FT job which enables me to do other extra work, finding a book by my fave author in the library, a clean and shiny car (no more birds' poo)
love to all
