Still spending money - but trying to do things that will make me more organised and on top of things. So have ordered a meal box to be delivered on Saturday (all vegan recipes and a few ingredients I've never tried before too) and a subscription for a veg box and salad box to be delivered every 2 weeks (hoping that and the tins I have in stock with more or less cover the food bills). i picked some happy socks this morning (including turtles, owls, bees and sheep and some proper jute shopping bags (owl, bees, something else - I had more but took a lot out of my basket), ordered a few books including a street map covering several of the North Wales towns so I can find my way round.
May make the donation to the renal unit later, while I'm in spendy mood and Oxfam's offering 20% off 2nd hand books and some other things. had a longish messaging session with DS2. He wanted to know if I'd booked anywhere. I got the last room at the place he and mummy of twins will be (they've stayed there before). I asked about the breakfast and I'd looked online at what the spa had to offer (hydrotherapy pool and tranquility suite) and outlined my itinerary. He's suggested going for a meal on the Sunday evening depending who's there.
Need to do a bit of tidying before I settle down for the night. I have a delivery coming tomorrow and my repeat medication. I have CBT at 12.30 (pills might come anytime between 10 am and 5pm). On Friday I have my eye appointment (found my distance glasses today) and it's film club day. Might miss the start of the afternoon film and it's a new version of West Side Story so undecided. Must try to go for the evening film. Which leaves Thursday 'free' (or standing in for Frog Friday as there's an awful lot I haven't done).
Grateful for being happy - will be super happy when I get my happy socks, for messaging with DS2, pomegranate seeds, doing meter readings, getting rubbish out of the house. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
NSD#13
A sunny day in our island, though the wind felt cool at times. Too tired to exercise before breakfast again. Work went well. On arriving home I tried helping DS2 apply for a college course, but couldn't get signed in, then did 100 skips in the garden (50 forwards, 50 back), then filled another large bucket with dandelion heads. After tea I assembled a memory bear & picked DS3 up from the next village.
Grateful for a different routine today, the staff planning a nearly end of term night out (our sproutmas one was cancelled at the last minute, due to increasing covid numbers) & spending time in the gardenUse it up, wear it out

Morning, Turtles
Money - NSD No 13
Home and Me - These categories are kind of merging together at the moment. Managed to get a few things done yesterday. Changed the bedding and got the used stuff all washed and dried on the line. Just needs ironing now. Tidied up a cupboard and had a look at the freezers. Dear oh dear! I don't know what half of it is because he either didn't label it or squashed it in and the labels have fallen off. Should make mealtimes interesting. My eyes feel better again today. Himself said I looked very tired yesterday afternoon and sent me off to bed. I didn't feel tired but I slept for three hours solid so I must have been. I've thrown away all (and there was a lot of it) opened and half used make up items. Some of it was really old and, I sure, not very hygienic to use. I probably wouldn't have used it again anyway. I did find an unopened eye shadow still in the sealed cellophane wrapper. So I'm going to concentrate on getting my skin, hair and nails up to scratch and then I'll treat myself to all good new stuff which won't irritate my skin.
Going to visit the Boy shortly so I'd better go get dressed.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -

FOODS to improve your MOOD
GRAPES are full of vitamin C and natural sugars, both of which enhance mood and boost energy
BANANAS can increase the production of serotonin and dopamine, important neurotransmitters for happiness
TOMATO skins help stop the pro-inflammatory compounds that are linked to depression
ALMONDS contain good fats for skin and brain health. They also increase dopamine levels
GREEN TEA contains L-Theanine, an amino acid that reduces anxiety and stress
STRAWBERRIES are a great source of potassium and vitamin C. Potassium can help generate nerve impulses
DARK CHOCOLATE (apple's favourite - apart from apples, of course) improves blood flow to the brain and brightens your mood almost instantaneously.
AVOCADOS are great for hair and skin but they also increase dopamine levels and endorphins
SPINACH contains vitamins B6, B12 and B3 all of which are essential in producing serotonin
YOGHURT can help boost your vitamin D just like the sun can. Lack of vitamin D can cause depression
Walnuts, asparagus, water and raw honey also get mentions but this is enough for now

Evening Turtles. Claiming an NSD as I only spent on postage for a bay of e sale which the buyer had already paid for. Also went to Mr T but was refunded by my Dad and DD as it was all for them.
Had a fleeting moment of pleasure earlier when I got on a customers scales and they made me weigh a stone less than mine, they were obviously wrong though! Mine said I had lost half a pound , never mind I suppose it’s all in the right direction.
The weather is awful here, I haven’t managed to go for a walk since the weekend or dry any washing on the line so I have given in and put some on the clothes horse with the dehumidifier on. It sort of pays for itself as you can use the water it produces in the iron.
Today I am grateful for wrong scales, losing half a pound and laughing at naughty kitten doing an impression of a very very bushy meerkat when another cat came in our garden earlier

I accidentally hit YS o'clock at MR T's Food Emporium. I spent £11 but it all had a y/s and it filled 2 carrier bags.I was not leaving 9p tins behind. The freezer is now full of nice things to make meals with as well. I have enough ready minced garlic and ginger jars to keep me going for a good long while.I really need to stop going into food shops, and start living out of the store cupboard. It might just make for an uber-frugal June.... but then again, I will have 3 and 3/4 teenagers in the house from this weekend....4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
