This thread is amazing. Great to know I'm not the only veggie around.
I'm having Quorn roast, Leek & Butternut roast, roast potatoes, puff pastry (only have it once a year cos it is as fattening as...), peas and carrots and vegetable gravy.
Yum!
An extra-special MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my fellow veggies :T0 -
Forgot to say... I've been a vegetarian since Christmas Day 1985, so that'll be 22 years this Tuesday0

I notice Quorn have brought out a new Vegetable Roast, haven't tried it though.
I spied that one the other day too. I loaded up with 3 as they had long dates. Didn't realise til I got home I'd actually been charged £3 each - and I won't have time to go back for a good few weeks :mad:0 -

Then smother the whole roast in creamy mashed potato. Make peaks with a fork (a bit like baked alaska), and you have your very own snowy log. Make sure the potato gets nicely browned with crispy peaks by sprikling with tiny knobs of butter. Serve with all the normal christmas veggies. Enjoy ........
You can also make individual portions rather than one long logI am at a Crossroads in my life and deciding which path to take:coffee:

Mmmmmm just pootled through the kitchen and hubby has the potatoes and hard peas on the stove and I spotted prepared carrots and green beans on the side ready for roasting. We're having it with roasted braised tofu & gravy. He makes a mean roast dinner *tummy rumbles*
I'm going to make the rhubarb crumble to have warm later with chocolate swedish glace... oh it's horrible being vegan, living on rabbit foodThe stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0
