Ooo Fayolle my friend H's first car was a Mini Clubman. We once went down a steep hill and round a corner. Backwards. When H stalled it. Luckily there was nothing approaching on the other side of the corner!!!! Aah memories.
Anyone up for a slinky challenge? Like I said earlier....I got weighed 🤦♀️. I hereby state that it is my decided intention to lose 28 pounds by 1st September...that being the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of my arrival on planet Earth.

Well now there’s a challenge and a half! Kaz has already set the bar high with her impressive walking. Me, I’m waiting for Round’s magic scales to arrive, as they promised to tell me that I weighed less than I did. In reality, my clothes are getting tighter, so much so, that I resort to getting changed as soon as I get home from work into something with a waistband built for comfort. I will weigh myself tomorrow morning, but I know that there is at least the stone which has settled here since Christmas and refuses to find a different home. I’m in with you, Round! I just need to finish this slice of carrot cake first - but that is a portion of veg, right?
On the flying front:
Ironing bits cleared plus any creased up summer clothes ironed. Included my 2 cardigans which are fraying at the neck. They are ancient, they owe me no favours, so I need to see about replacing them. I might take a trip to the wool shop when I next have a day off, but I do hate knitting cardigans.S&s bathroom and ensuite. Scrubbed ensuite shower tiles with a trusty toothbrush (that was a 🐸 in waiting), so it smells like a municipal pool.
Kitchen floor swept, and odd bits put away.
Drizzle helps my flying, but brighter weather coming in from the west now.9 -
Morning all. You lot really make me laugh.
Today I have done dailies, two wash loads which are on the airer because of the rain, walked the dogs and am in the middle of making a birthday cake. I'm having a cuppa while the various layers cool down. Wish me luck with the decorating.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Round I'm with you on the slinky front, less food and more exercise ie walking has helped me. I currently am doing 11,000 steps per day as a min, I am now on my next challenge for the month of May for the RBL, I complete their 100 miles for April, if you think about it if you can manage about 3 to 4 miles a day, that is approx (for me) 10,000 steps, but I have upped it to 11000 per day for May to see if I can do it (my own well being) include any steps you do at work / wandering around the house / garden/ shops. (I am using Strava app, it seems to be free for the basic)NHS body mass index is a good place to start, plus any medical advise you might need from your dr's.I'll cheer you on, Monday is my weigh in day, once a week.Car boot done, loads of wandering people but not much buying, so I went wandering around, but still able to see my car and stuff, managed 2000 steps!!
£30 flingage.
OH says he is tired again, has gone back to bed, he also says he is bored, but doesn't know what he wants to do...............everything I suggest he knocks back, some of it is free, some of it costs money, but it is still no to everything, I really don't know what to do, he doesn't want to come walking today, says he will feel better when he wakes up, I am wondering if he has depression or similar, I'll suggest he rings the dr's, no doubt he will knock that back as well.Kitchen is okRecycling is outBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
