I noticed that both in Ald1 and T's unsalted butter is now 10p more expensive than salted, rather than the same price as they used to be.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I went to coop to buy my daughter some Skips crisps. They have been £1.25 for 6 bags for ages. Saw £2.25 on shelf edge and thought it was a mistake so took them to the till to double check and they were indeed £2.25 for 6 x 13g bags! Outrageous.

It's not all bad. 15 eggs in M&S still £2, cheese at £5/kilo in Tesco. Sure one has to be a bit more selective generally and put the time in but there's still value to be had.5 -

It's interesting to see what hasn't gone up. About 2 years ago I started adding the odd tin of Tulip chicken to my store - it has a long shelf life. The price has stayed the same since then. So have the other 2 Tulip products Tesco sell. Produce of Denmark.6
