I’m glad you enjoyed Calendar Girls. Sorry to hear the news put a bit of a dampener on your day though.

  • Oh dear more snow has here, praying for rain tomorrow. I have youngest DGS today as usual , we will be going out somewhere . Never did the money shuffles , that's a job for later now.

  • Another gloriously sunny day up here, it even feels a bit warmer , dare I say that. DGS and I had a lovely trot around by the BBC today and over the river to ITV and then back round . Ended up in Costa sat next to a local newsreader, who looks much slimmer than on the tv.
School pick up done , grandma is now off duty !

Morning, still feels cold to me , but snow going now its raining. My kettle blew up yesterday and tripped the electrics, it's a Bosch one so quite surprised . I have a travel kettle on the go at the moment. Will be buying a new one today, also would like some more baskets for my store cupboard to make it a little more tidier.
I need to read the gas meter today, I guess my bill is going to be high this month , so will probably go into debit now, as I don't believe in the energy company having any of my hard earned cash in their account as I get the credit balance back if it goes over £100.
My friend is on her way as she would like some homeware things as well .

  • New kettle purchased , it's a bit plasticky but ok. When the toaster goes will buy a matching kettle and toaster. Shopping done, did parents as well as dad not feeling so good. Home to do my ironing and make food for work tomorrow. Just about to have chicken, veg and potatoes .
I also got Christmas crackers yesterday for a £1 that was my bargain buy.
