Funny story re Branston beans
When they first came out in October 2005 there were super cheap offers on multi packs
I worked in a large office with 3 floors of 4 'wings' with a small kitchen area per wing so 12 small kitchen areas (kettle, microwave, fridge)
Tins of said beans appeared in our kitchen area with a sign saying 'free to anyone who wants them'
We had free fruit delivered to each kitchen area every day
The person who delivered the fruit told us these beans had appeared in all 12 kitchen areas for free!!
I took a tin home and my 4 year old grandson who would eat anything spat them out
My youngest granddaughter prefers Tesco beans to Heinz0 -

Life is still very busy, less stress but it's up and down.I had a shopping trip to the big shopping centre this week and had a good spend on replenishing my summer wardrobe, all saved for.Today I had a last minute day off from childminding , so arranged to see my old school friend who lives about 20 mins away. We had a lovely afternoon catching up and talking about all sorts of things .Tomorrow I am out with my friend who couldn't make it to my big birthday afternoon tea as she had Covid , we are doing that in the afternoon.I have DGD staying overnight tomorrow as well.
Had to take mum to the hospital yesterday for a cataracts removal , that went ok .
I have had a new wet room floor laid this week and some more upgrades to my bathroom which have improved it greatly. It's less than 4 weeks to my trip to Majorca and it can't come soon enough.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.2 -
Whereabouts in Majorca are you going? We’ve been a few times - Cala d’Or, Cala St Vicente and Palma Nova.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Your holiday will be here in no time. Sounds like you need it. Glad the stress has lessened a bit.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Shopping morning done , now have youngest DGS for the afternoon. The eldest two finish school today for Easter , so are off for a cinema trip.I am off next week to the North East for a few days and really looking forward to it. Easter weekend is about family and friends spending time with them.Had a PB win £50 , and received a gift card from a store because of their customer service , which was abysmal in store .Also complained about an afternoon tea as well , will see what reply I get to that.I sound like a moaner but with the price of things at the moment I expect to get the service I am paying for.Everyone have a great Easter , let's hope the sun comes back up North .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.3
