Hi all, sadly it seems that I need to revive this thread, as after three years, their solicitors (Gladstones) have sent a second “Letter before claim” giving me 30 days to pay etc.

I last received one of these from them in 2023, so assumed that it was done with.

Is this a case of them noticing that cases have been left unresolved and they’re chancing their arm again?

Any advice is greatly appreciated as I had moved on and now have this hanging over me again, it really upset me last time around.

If its a formal Letter of Claim giving you 30 days notice ( on behalf of Euro Parking Services. ) , just follow the latest advice in post 2 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum

thank you, it seems formal and mentions court action etc.

As I said, they sent one three years ago, I sent them a reply and heard nothing in return, so assumed it was dealt with, now I’ve had a second one for some reason.

EPS appear to have activated a lot of these cases recently via Gladstones, as have many other private parking companies, its not personal, its just a factor of bulk litigation, roboclaims ! The whole industry is based on bullying and harassment of victims

The deadline for legal proceedings was 6 years from the incident date, so its never over unless the deadline has expired ( so 4 years is only two thirds of the way. )

You never got closure, so it wasn't closed

    thank you.

Having read this, am I right in thinking that I am to write another letter to them refuting the claim that they’re making.

Send it via email with a read receipt and NOT through their portal that they want me to use?

I still have the text of the email that I sent them three years ago, shall I embellish that one mentioning the ridiculous time span of this spurious claim?

I don't know why people aren't using portals to reply. They are fine of course.

As Gladstones choose to duplicate, send them a dupicate email pointing out that they ignored you
