    Hi All @ParkingMad @Coupon-mad @Castle

I can't find the CCBCAQ email address to submit my defence to - please can you confirm this?

Assume an email is fine to send with the document attached?
It's in bold text in the very first post of the Defence Template Announcement, right at the top of the thread list at this time of writing.
Can't find what you're referring to but have found this on another thread ccbcaq@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk , is this correct?
No that is a very old email address.
Go back to the opening post on the template Defence thread.

    Found it - thanks.

Just to be clear, once I've sent this over the the address, I don't need to fill in the online defence form that is on the money claim website? Once I send email, this is  deemed complete?

On your very own thread on 11th April I wrote...
Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

    Is what deemed complete?

Keep following the checklist in the Template Defence thread together with the guidance in the NEWBIES thread.

Defence is not your only job, no.  Far from it.  As well as re-reading the first 12 steps in the TEMPLATE DEFENCE thread, also go to the second post of the NEWBIES thread and take time to read everything under the RED HEADING IN CAPITALS there, about 'KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN'.

    Hi All

Any idea on when I will receive anything back from the courts?

I've submitted an AoS and had acknowledgement but have had nothing further back from DCB Legal/Courts

Surely you filed a Defence after filing an Acknowledgment of Service?
Did you get an automatic email receipt when filing your Defence?
Does your MCOL Claim History confirm the CCBC received your Defence?

Wait patiently. Keep following that checklist you were using when you filed your Defence and the guidance in the second post of the NEWBIES thread.

Please tell us you filed a defence by email too and not just AOS?!

    Hi All

I have had a notification from the courts back in July with a court date of October 2022, DCB Legal have until middle of September to pay court fees otherwise it gets dropped. How do I know court fees have been paid?

Also, this is witness statement stage, where do I send my response to to allow courts to review? It doesn't say on the letter? This will just be a repeat of my 'defence' claim.

    Thanks

Phoning the court will be the only way to find out if they have paid, however, courts tend to be lenient on claimants if they pay late!  You send your witness statement to the court (Ask Aunty Google for the e-mail address) and also a copy to the claimant.  The court will not "review" your WS but will use it in conjunction with your defence when you attend the hearing.  Absolutely not, see below for guidance on witness statements (unless this is something other than a straightforward case).
Your witness statement is "in support of your defence as already filed" and therefore should be ............... in support of and back up whatever you put in your defence.  It is a narrative of what happened on the day and subsequently, written in the first person in your own words.  It happened to you so no one on here can write it for you.  Reduce the impact of anything negative and emphasise the impact of anything positive. It is also your chance to attach any evidence that you wrote about in your defence.  Read other witness statements to see what those posters wrote - particularly successful ones.
Recent good WSs you can use for examples of style and format are @aphex007 @Daiapolon2021 and @anged

Hi, I have googled but couldn't find an obvious answer on where to send the defence statement to.

Assume it is ccbcaq@justice.gov.uk as per the AOS ?
