How long did you take to get the payment method to work? One of the signs says 15 minutes and ALL of the signs are in appalling small print. The payment methods are so bad the BPA stopped them trading there for a while.
@ParkingMad has loads of info about this scam site so don't rush your defence. More info to come.

This is one of the signs in the car park. It states that there is a 15 minute grace period to purchase a ticket.1 -
Unfortunately the payment was made 2 minutes after this so unable to argue on this case!
I will include reference to the signs being in small print and not clear.
Any other top tips on what to use in this defence?

Unfortunately the payment was made 2 minutes after this so unable to argue on this case!Yes you are.
Because if there is a 15 minute 'consideration' period advertised, to allow time to make payment in a known scam car park where the payment methods don't work well, there is no reason to think that a person who stays and pays, doesn't also get the industry minimum ten minutes 'grace' after expiry of their paid ticket. This is mandatory in the Code of Practice.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And the PPC is using two different, (and unsynchronised), clocks.1

You can use the Frustration of Contract point. You were attempting to pay, but were prevented from doing so within the grace period by factors outside your control, ie the people in front of you in the queue for the only P&D machine. When this car park is busy, it is not possible to drive in, find a space, park, read the signs, queue at the only machine and pay, using the only payment method supplied, all within the grace period. The landowner says he has provided other payment methods (payment via an app using WiFi or mobile phone, or by phoning or texting a number) but these can't be used if there is no mobile phone signal.

I can't find the CCBCAQ email address to submit my defence to - please can you confirm this?

Assume an email is fine to send with the document attached? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
