I will do and I’ll up date me email again to include it. Also include the additional 60-70 pounds on top is extortion.

Am I correct in thinking there is set to be a change in the maximum amount a PPC can charge for a charge? I’m sure I’ve seen something saying about £50.00. But I have read so much lately.

Nothing has changed yet, but PCN amounts will be capped when the new mandatory code of practice and independent appeals process is introduced next year.
Outside London it is set to be £50 with a 50% reduction for early payment. Inside London, charges will be higher.

The government has already said though that the fake add-ons above that of the original charge are "an attempt at extortion". If you do receive a claim, then this is already covered in the template defence sticky Announcement.

I have sent you a pm.

No.  Clearly that part of the code can't be retrospective nor persuasive over old tickets. Impossible if you think about it.

As for the added fake fees, they are banned and were declared 'extortion' so that kills the argument with a massive steer for Judges (if this has been investigated by Govt lawyers for two years and declared to have been extortion all along. then it ain't recoverable!).

So of course add the usual stuff we repeat every day on LBC threads now, ad infinitum (see yesterday's exact same threads...).

Same advice as in the thread by a user called @the_hundreds and the one by @95816 and the one by @paynele47 and today's exact same thread by @Springerone

Just to add to this - though I haven't read it all in detail, I called up the solicitors who had contacted me (see my thread) and quoted what @Coupon-mad has said about the additional fake fees being banned - the solicitors agreed to remove the added £70. Putting my fine back down to £100.

    Thanks Coupon Mad

    What? I didn't advise that.

No-one ever advises calling a roboclaim parking 'legal' firm on the phone, and it was never a 'fine' and not to be paid at £100 either. I hope you didn't.

You called them or they called you?
  • Well emails sent on the early part of the weekend to both PPC and Solicitors about the missing information etc as discussed above.
I’ve had nothing back from them as yet other than the confirmation emails.

So let’s see what happens next I guess.

    Happy Monday everyone.

I have still not received anything back from the PPC or Gladstone’s about the missing information. So I’ll make a complaint about the missing requested information.
