It means I could not find the newbie texts that you guys referred to and I didn’t know what else to write. I eventually found the newbies thread but couldn’t find the relevant bits about apcoa and pofa 2012 etc so I just had to wing it

So now that I’m not in a panic I believe I have found the relevant wording. I believe I can use it if they chase me again as I was deliberately vague. Thanks. I think this site is a bit difficult to navigate as I can’t be the only one who’s struggled with it.

Anyway I will wait and see now what comes up. I read something about keeper and registered keeper which works with Covid anyway I reckon. Could be wrong ?
    thanks

I still don't understand how Covid fits in this, but perhaps that's just me.

    Nor me.

But the concern is whether the OP actually submitted an appeal at all.  As long as the 'submit' button was pressed and a one-liner said appeal submitted, then they did.

I know. Covid was what we had at the time. Anyway. No I didn’t press submit. I clicked on next and that was the last I saw of it. When I tried again on my laptop it said the pcn could not be found.

Looking at the advice in the photo (above) about checking the reverse of your PCN to ensure you're on the correct portal. APCOA deal with Parking Charge Notices (private parking) as well as Penalty Charge Notices (councils, railways, airports etc) and could well have different portals. Worth a check.  Just a thought.

    Good point!

The text behind that highlighted section is talking about a Penalty issued by APCOA for a Local Authority client.

Looks like the wrong page, @boggles22

Appeal on the webpage the PCN tells you to.  Not one about Penalty Charge Notices.  This isn't one.

Hi. It’s still there so I’m typing appeal now. I will use all that blue text, yes?  Here it is:

I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner.

There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation and your evidence. You must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date as well as your images of the vehicle.

If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it.

If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner.
