Morning all.  Was in the office yesterday and didn't manage to get a lot done which was annoying as I have another busy day ahead and lots to do so just popping in quickly.

Breakfast was some homemade hash browns with an egg and then some ff yogurt and blueberries on the side (was quite hungry for a change 😆).  Lunch is a salmon salad and then dinner is going to be a fajita bowl.  We might be going to the cinema tonight so will pick up some skinny popcorn if so.

Hope everyone has a good day and weekend!

Morning all, another lovely day here although quite windy.

I couldn't see the meringue nest @bubbs which was why I thought you must have put extra choc shot on!

Need to pop out to pick up DHs prescription which wasn't available the other day when we picked up the rest so will also pop to the shops while we're out.  Don't need much but definitely need some salad bits are only have 2 spring onions and a small piece of cucumber left plus about half dozen cherry tomatoes!  Also want to pick up a couple of bottles of 0% gin in Morries as they have it on special offer at £10 a bottle (usual price is £15 but I won't pay that!).

    Today's plan:

    B - Welsh rarebit - HEB; HEA2; P; F
    L - prawn and crab stick salad - P; S; F
    D - chana masala, rice - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but may have a couple of 0% G&T for 0.5.

    Have a good day.

    Morning all,

It's so lovely to have DS1 home but I'm afraid all thought of syns and trying to be good when I can have gone right out the window!  He's away this weekend visiting friends so will go to class and be on plan until he returns on Monday.  I'm certain it will be a gain but hoping to keep it in check a bit by continuing to attend.   Seeing your post Denise has reminded me of the 0% gin, think I'll get a bottle when I'm shopping tomorrow.

Hope you're all having a good day.

@Jellybaby I know what you mean, but that's the beauty of the plan, we can make wise choices where possible, but have the flexibility with syns etc. I think it's more important to enjoy having your DS back after all this time.

I could have stayed in, home alone tonight and tomorrow, but have decided to invite friends over. As much as I enjoy my own company, I am in danger of becoming reclusive. Will be good where I can as I too have WI tomorrow morning.

@Jellybaby - not sure if I mentioned but the 0% gin is on offer in Morries at the moment for £10 which is over 30% off as it's full price is £15!

Enjoy the time with your DS - just be good when you can for now and continue going to group to keep on top of it.  SW can wait for now - it will still be there for you to get back on the wagon when the time is right.

We had a pleasant evening at the cinema. The Downton film is a bit of escapism albeit very predictable. I think it's probably come to the end of its life now. It was just nice to get out together as we've not been to the cinema since before lockdown.

I made fairly good choices in Zizzi's. I had a bruschetta starter and then prawn linguine. Syns would have been in oil and the bruschetta bread base. The pasta dish  was listed as 600 cals and had courgette in the tomato sauce so probably frugal with the oil to keep the calories down.  Thank goodness they don't print the calories for Montepulciano! 🤣

My menu is a bit eggy today but I wanted to use up some veg from the fridge before food shopping. I've done my meal plan but we're eating out twice next week so it's a 'good when I can' plan.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, fried eggs (P)
    L- veggie omelette (P,S), beetroot, cornichons (S)
D- fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), asparagus, mange tout, broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
    Syns- weekend wine😁

We enjoyed fake KFC tonight too @bubbs, haven't had it for ages. 😋

DH compared it to the Chicken Milanese he had last night and said it was far better, more juicy. I think that's the difference between thighs and the flattened breast.

Meant to say that Zizzi did a three course set menu. Fortunately all the dishes we wanted were on it. DH had tirsmisu last night and we had one to take away which he ate tonight. There seemed to be a constant stream of Deliveroo drivers picking up meals. The plus side for that is they have all the packaging for take away so the tirsmisu came with a little pot of cream and another of chocolate sauce. Perfect little containers for some LTL mayo for a picnic. 😁

🤞for everyone with WI tomorrow. 😊
