Morning, not very warm here today but really windy so have a load of washing on and might get the bedding on too.

Having a mooch around the fridge I've noticed a few things that need using up so veggie chilli might be in the slow cooker at lunch time!

    Today's plan:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt with the last of the strawberries and mango
L - chicken salad sandwich (HEXB), with more salad and pickles on the side
D - chilli salmon, Jersey Rotals, savoy cabbage, carrots and sweetcorn

    Have a good day all!

Sorry to hear about the bite @ruby_eskimo. I remember you having those last year as I too suffer badly. Resisted the temptation to sit outside for too long after dinner last night, as just knew I'd be bitten! Hope you feel better soon x

Epic fail on the food front. Gas works in our road and today is the day our boiler needs to be off. Had to microwave my cheese omelette - tested the capacity of the egg microwave pot - seems 2 would be fine, but the 3 I used exploded slightly oops. Mushrooms and tomatoes currently sitting in the pan with fry light and no way of cooking them booo.

Doesn't look like the power will be on for a while, so will have my rye cakes for lunch plus fruit. Courgette fritters will need to wait - they are still on the plant so nothing spoiling.

Afternoon all, we are finally home!  After a marathon day yesterday - finally got home about 12.45!  Taxi from hotel to car hire, car hire to get us from where we were to near to where we would pick up the ferry - had a blow out about a mile from the hire car office which DH had to change himself because the breakdown couldn't get to us for an hour and we needed to get to the ferry in about that time!  Finally got to the hire place to return the car and there was no taxi to take us to the ferry port so we ended up having to pay for it ourself rather than the breakdown sorting it out (45 euros which we can't reclaim as didn't get a receipt!); made it to the ferry with about 10 minutes to spare before boarding!

Just as we were boarding DH got a phone call from car hire place in Portsmouth to say they hadn't got a car available for us which we needed to get home.  Anyway outcome was breakdown people organised a taxi to take us to another car hire place (an hour away from Portsmouth!).  We finally picked up the car just before 11pm having got off the ferry just after 9.30pm.

As you can imagine we are both really tired today but still had to take the hire car back to their nearest depot which is about 20 miles away and then get a bus back!  After all that we still needed to do a bit of shopping as only had stuff in the freezer but no basics like potatoes!

Anyway I'm back on plan today:

B - weetabix with milk plus raspberries from garden (there are quite a few ripe!) - HEA; HEB; S
    L - tuna salad - P; S; F
D - lamb leg steaks, boiled potatoes, green beans and peas - P; S; F

    HEA1 and 2 - milk
    HEB - weetabix
Syns - rum and ginger beer 5

Hope everyone has had a good day.

That sounds like a marathon @joedenise! Welcome back, you might need more than one rum and ginger beer !!

Middle finger has turned black in the centre joint. End of finger is numb so think I too have been bitten. Thought I felt something when I hung out the washing.

I only had 3 rye cakes with marmite for lunch. No time to have fruit as work went bonkers after that. IT issues, sh***y colleagues, moany people. Can't wait to go to Cyprus - only 17 days to go! DS2 and I had sea bass fillets for tea. They were from Morries and had lemon and herb on them with a lemon/oil dressing. I had a trickle of the dressing as it needed it. Served it with carrots, broccoli and spinach. A lovely light meal.

Off to the cinema tonight, so will take a pink n white to munch on. It's a full house tonight as they're only showing Freedom Uncut for one night only.
